I had surgery with AlloDerm recently,. For the nasal tip, I used commercially processed costal cartilage, not ear cartilage. Somehow, it turned out the doctor was someone I knew well. So at first, I had a consultation saying I would use silicone, but later I found out it was someone I knew well, and he did the surgery with better AlloDerm for the same cost. He also used already-commercialized costal cartilage for the nasal tip. He said it can provide an effect similar to dermal grafting, has no side effects, and is ideal for people with thin nasal skin. And they say that if a foreign material in the nose shows through, AlloDerm is placed over it during revision surgery. It has only just been 5 days now.. The swelling has gone down a lot, and I’m satisfied.
