When I look at places with lots of revision surgery reviews, they mostly use autologous costal cartilage. Seeing that, is autologous costal cartilage the answer for revision rhinoplasty? I’m looking at clinics ㅇㅂㅈ (Lee), ㅎㅇㅇㄷ (Lim), and ㅎㅁ (Kim)... I’m leaning almost entirely toward autologous costal cartilage, but I’m worried about the rib scar. Has anyone here had rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage at one of these places? How was it, are you satisfied? Please let me know how noticeable the scar is.

와앙팡 I had revision rhinoplasty at ㅇㅂㅈ. But I really think places that are good at noses don’t care that much about the material..... Both autologous costal cartilage and donated rib cartilage were possible, but I wasn’t in a situation where I could rest comfortably after surgery, so I used donated rib cartilage.... If my situation had been okay, I would’ve used autologous costal cartilage Still, I like my nose.
오모모모 At ㅎㅇㅇㄷ, I had my first surgery and my friend had a revision, and we both used autologous costal cartilage. The incision area is really small, so it’s hardly noticeable. It’s fine, fine. They use all kinds of materials besides that too, so go get a consultation and decide on the material!!
단무지 Autologous costal cartilage is the firmest material after all, so I think it can’t be helped But rather than saying you must use autologous costal cartilage for a revision, you should get a consultation and use what suits you. Mine was a first surgery, but at ㄹㅂㄹ, ㅇㅇ, and ㄷㄴ, they recommended rib cartilage. Donated rib cartilage didn’t really appeal to me, so I did autologous costal cartilage. Consider the cost + the material that fits you + the director’s recommendation, then choose!
