Chin surgery, day 6... Things you need to prepare before surgery

I wrote a really long review yesterday... but it all disappeared.. So I’ll write it roughly. If you get chin surgery, you probably won’t be able to go outside for about a week.. (because someone might recognize you, or because it’s too much hassle) Things you should buy in advance: Food (ice cream, soup (definitely cream soup...! Even if you buy vegetable soup... you’ll have to pick out the vegetables and throw them away..--;;, Pocari Sweat.. You need to drink a lot of water, and also to keep the inside of your mouth clean. Later the hospital gives you mouthwash... it’s so nauseating that after gargling and rinsing with water, you still need to take a sip of Pocari.. That way.. it’s at least tolerable, milk.. etc.. If you live with your parents, you can ask them, but if you live alone... don’t starve later, prepare in advance... Eat things like seaweed soup cooked clear... If you only eat pumpkin porridge and plain rice porridge, you’ll just lose your appetite and recovery will be hard.) Medicine (Fucidin or Vaseline.. With an intraoral incision, it feels like they tear your mouth open. Even if it isn’t actually torn, that’s how it feels.. Make sure to buy it. Cotton swabs, a baby toothbrush (with soft bristles... otherwise all your stitches will burst..--;; Regular mouthwash.. When you wake up, you can’t talk and your mouth feels coated... At times like this, when it feels better not to use the mouthwash the hospital gave you... dilute a little mouthwash in water and use it.. You’ll feel much more human.. like “Ah.. I’m a civilized person...” Other (a few comic books... preferably ones with a long rental period... or novels... But don’t bring them to the hospital thinking you’ll read them while hospitalized... You won’t have time to read. This is purely for while you’re recuperating..) As expected, eating is the most important. You can lose weight later too, but don’t do something like not eating after surgery just to lose weight while you’re at it.. You’ll lose weight even without doing that... After surgery, the hospital gives you liquid food... but sometimes it doesn’t taste good... I was given plain rice porridge at the hospital too... but it seemed more like rice mixed with water than porridge... Still, I was hungry and mashed it up to eat it.. Just in case, you know baby food... the small jars, maybe imported.. with a baby picture on them. Take about two of those with you.. I heard some other hospitals even give ice cream... But absolutely don’t eat anything unless they tell you to... That boredom when you’re hospitalized... I know it better than anyone. I passed the time with TV, but even that got boring... So I just got through it like that... I was in pain, so I couldn’t think much, and I think I only kept thinking, why did I get surgery... Even thinking itself became bothersome... Just spend your hospitalization time like that... no matter how much I think about it, there’s no answer for this... That’s it for today...
