I finally got fat grafting done yesterday after agonizing over it for months.
I did the forehead, a slight touch to the front cheeks, and the nasolabial folds. I really hate an artificial-looking forehead, so I asked them to fill only the sunken areas to match my own forehead line. The other areas too, of course, just a little~~ But... just thinking about the second session is already scary Other people said it was a relatively simple procedure and that they woke up and it was over, but for me it was really hard. I’m not sure if you can call sedation anesthesia sleep, because I kept having nonstop dreams the whole time (the director said those were dreams). But honestly, I felt like I was still mentally aware, and then when the meds wore off I felt like I was coming back. That’s hard to understand, right? I can’t even explain this feeling well myself... After the medicine went in, it felt like I was floating up in the sky and flying around at the speed of light.? The director told me before surgery that it would feel like riding a roller coaster... Anyway, I was on that roller coaster until the surgery ended, like crazy (it only felt like a roller coaster; it was not an amusement park ride, which made it even scarier...). Near the end, as my mind started coming back, it felt like I was finishing while still feeling the ride. I could feel the fat being taken from my thighs. It was bearable pain, but I kept wondering if I was awake or not, and the fear that it would never end came over me.. But thankfully, I woke up during the final stage, so it was only for a short moment.. Then I was lying there with my eyes open, staring only at the ceiling spinning around, and just when that was happening, they injected me again to put the fat in. It started again.. This time it felt like riding an elevator down at super high speed from a skyscraper that looked over 200 floors tall... I kept falling like crazy until the surgery ended, then woke up. Toward the end, it felt like being pricked in the face with needles, stinging and scary, and then it was over... That was my experience... After surgery I rested for about 2 hours, then drove myself home. My thigh felt very tight, my forehead was a bit tight, I was limping and nauseous, but today I feel like I can live again.. I can walk fairly well too. Can’t you sleep deeply with sedation anesthesia?? Before the surgery, the director said I’d probably have a nightmare like riding a roller coaster and told me to just enjoy it, which makes me think not only I but other people must have felt the same thing. But when I was reading fat grafting reviews, I didn’t see anything like that, so I felt reassured and ended up getting a nasty surprise Just thinking about the second session already scares me. The areas where the fat was injected are swollen now, like everyone else’s, and I guess they’ll keep swelling... I stupidly asked them to put in just a little, and now I have to do a second session again. I’m dying
