For everyone looking for arm liposuction info, I’ll share reviews of the hospitals I visited for consultations!! 1) SRYOO There was no consultation fee, and it went from consultation with the director to consultation with the manager. After checking the fat thickness with ultrasound, the director showed me in the mirror that it would look something like this. I have some accessory breast tissue and posterior bulging, not just the arms, and I was also curious about the scapular area and bra line, so I consulted about them together, and they said it would be good to do them since I have some there too. I got the price quote from the manager. For arms (including armpits, accessory breast tissue, and posterior bulging) and back (scapular area, bra line), the price didn’t seem bad if I only did the arms, but I started wanting to do the scapular area too. If I include the back, it is a burden, but objectively I think it’s just average. Not very expensive and not cheap either.. I did have some expectations for the surgery results. - Put on hold because my budget is tight price-wise.. 2) I won’t say the hospital name To be honest, I had the highest expectations for this place. I made an appointment here first and then booked consultations at other hospitals... The consultation fee was 10,000 won, and I liked that they told me on the appointment call that the consultation would take about an hour. The desk staff were also kind.. When I went into the consultation with the manager, the discussion related to my body, like what kind of result could be expected, was about 5 minutes? Then about 5 minutes on the hospital’s general surgical method,., and the rest was mostly recommending same-day surgery, boasting about the hospital, etc. And they said their hospital normally has fixed prices, but “if I had surgery that day,” they would match the amount I expected. For a moment I was tempted, but that also wasn’t for all the areas I wanted, just the arms and the arm root? area. (The manager here said my accessory breast tissue wasn’t that severe. I think probably to match the price.) (Even my mom says if I’m doing it, she hopes I do the accessory breast tissue together too...) Honestly, I hadn’t been to many hospital consultations and had another appointment after, so even when I declined indirectly, they didn’t get it. (Other places are all similar, you’ll probably go to the cheapest place price-wise.. but this and that, boasting about their hospital..) So I said I didn’t mind if the cost went up, and they gave me a business card and tried to wrap it up, telling me to think about it. ? Aren’t I having a consultation with the director? I asked, and they said I’d have to wait 40 minutes. I said that would be difficult because I had another appointment. What about the consultation fee? (Of course, I thought the 10,000 won was the director consultation fee;) When I asked, they said I hadn’t designated a director, so that was why there was a wait, and the consultation fee included what I had just done with the manager (them). Haha When I looked flustered (Ah.. the conversation I just had with the manager was 10,000 won..?), they said if I came back after finishing the consultation at the other hospital, they’d let me consult with the director. Would I want to go back?? There are so many other hospitals. Who would think the words of a manager saying all kinds of things to make you do same-day surgery count as a “consultation”? If they want to take a consultation fee just for consultation with a manager, at least they should show cases similar to mine or cases from the director they recommended; I was even recommended only same-day surgery while being told I could trust them because their hospital has no complaints about side effects, in a state where I “had not even heard what kind of aftercare they operate.” 3) Number MC hospital (Gyodae) There was no consultation fee, and although the whole building is the hospital, there was only one elevator, so waiting for the elevator was a bit hard First of all, it was systematic and the consultation manager was kind. Maybe because I went right after the previous hospital... I didn’t expect much and just went with the mindset of let’s just check it out, but I thought it seemed okay. They said that if I do the arms here, they’ll also do the scapular area and bra line as a service. But accessory breast tissue is an additional charge, so it went far beyond my budget, and the manager recommended that I do just the arms first and do LAMS for the accessory breast tissue later... This place also has fixed prices, and to get a discount I’d have to make a payment, but it wasn’t same-day surgery. They said they’d give a discount if I went into a surgery time that had opened up the very next week. They said even if I can’t have surgery next week, I can postpone it, but I’d have to wait until a surgery slot opens up. The price range for doing accessory breast tissue with LAMS and adding it with liposuction wasn’t hugely different, so I asked if they could include the accessory breast tissue and give me a discount, but they said that wasn’t possible They also kept urging? me to pay the reservation deposit quickly, but I felt I’d regret it if I didn’t do the accessory breast tissue, so here too I said it was okay even if I couldn’t get the discount and that I’d contact them later. Since it’s definitely a large hospital, their own point system, aftercare, and diet management were well organized. There was no consultation with the director here either, but they showed and compared surgical review photos by each director. This hospital is known for not giving discounts easily, but if you want to do it here, aiming for an opened-up surgery time seems like one method. - I thought that if the last hospital was really not it, I should go here. 4) KRY There was no consultation fee, and as soon as I arrived, I changed clothes and consulted with the director. They measured the fat thickness with a pinch test and said they also suction the lower arm. They said areas reachable through the incision holes are included without additional cost. (Including the accessory breast tissue and side line of the back that I care about!) This place is also fixed-price + additional cost by body weight. It was slightly outside my budget, but the suction area was wide for the cost, so I didn’t think it was expensive. Here they don’t make you wear a compression garment, but they said I could wear one personally after 2 weeks. Aftercare was posted on the wall up to week 4, and I was told revision surgery is possible after 6 months if my weight does not increase. The price order was 1) > 4) > 2) > 3), and I decided to go with hospital 4). After going around for consultations, maybe because I heard a lot that my fat is firm and I have a lot of fat, so I’d see good results, I decided I should just get it done by a director with a lot of experience. The staff were kind, and the manager also didn’t recommend a same-day reservation, so I just quickly booked the surgery, did the blood test, and came back. <<Everyone going around for liposuction consultations, especially those saving money and consulting with a fixed budget... I hope you don’t get tempted by recommendations saying they’ll match the price if you do same-day surgery, and think rationally! Of course, there are many hospitals that give discounts for same-day surgery, booking an opened-up surgery date, or even just making a same-day reservation, and you may think becoming a cosmetic surgery model or providing photos is a reasonable way to save on surgery costs. And sometimes it is reasonable. My friend got arm liposuction cheaply as a cosmetic surgery model and was satisfied, then also did fat grafting as a model somewhere else and had a very unsatisfactory experience... Liposuction isn’t something you can do many times, and rather than being swayed for no reason, doing it, and regretting it, there are many hospitals in Korea... Anyway, a hospital I like will appear someday... Think that way and find a good hospital, a hospital that fits you!>> Everyone, have good consultations, and I’ll come back next time after surgery to write a review!
