I accidentally deleted it, so reposting For everyone looking for information on arm liposuction, I’ll share reviews of the clinics I visited for consultations!!
1) ㅅㄹㅇㅇㅇ There was no consultation fee, and it went from consultation with the director doctor to consultation with the consultant. After checking the fat thickness with ultrasound, the director showed me in the mirror that it would look something like this. I have not only my arms but also some accessory breast tissue and posterior bulging, and I was also curious about the scapular area and bra line, so I consulted about them together. They said it would be good to include them because I do have some there.
I got the price guide from the consultant. The price for arms (including armpits, accessory breast tissue, and posterior bulging) and back (scapular area, bra line) did not seem bad if I only did the arms, but I started wanting the scapular area too. Including the back would be a burden, but objectively it seemed just average, not extremely expensive and not cheap either.. I did have some expectations for the surgical result. - Put it on hold because my budget was tight..
2) I won’t say the clinic name Honestly, I had the highest expectations for this place. I booked this clinic first and then booked consultations at other clinics... The consultation fee was 10,000 won. It was nice that they told me during the reservation call that the consultation would take about an hour. The front desk staff were also kind.. When I went into the consultation with the consultant, discussion related to my body, for example what kind of result could be expected, was about 5 minutes? And about 5 minutes on the clinic’s overall surgical method,., and the rest was mostly recommending surgery that day, bragging about the clinic, etc. And they said their clinic originally has fixed prices, but “if I had surgery that day,” they would match the amount I had expected. I was tempted for a moment, but even that was not for all the areas I wanted. It was only the arms and the arm root? area. (The consultant here said my accessory breast tissue was not that severe. I think maybe it was to match the price.) (Even my mom said that if I’m going to do it, she hopes I do the accessory breast tissue together...) Honestly, I had not gone to many clinic consultations, and I had another appointment next, so I tried to politely refuse, but she did not get it. (Other places are all similar, you’ll probably go wherever is cheapest price-wise.. But blah blah blah, bragging about their clinic..) So I just said I didn’t mind if the cost went up, and she gave me a business card and seemed to end it by telling me to think about it. ? Aren’t I having a consultation with the director doctor? I asked, and she said I would have to wait 40 minutes. I said that would be difficult because I had another appointment. Then what about the consultation fee? (Of course I thought it was 10,000 won for the director doctor’s consultation;) When I asked, she said that since I had not designated a director doctor, the wait occurred, and that the consultation fee was included in what I had just done with the consultant (herself). Haha When I looked flustered (Ah.. the conversation I just had with the consultant was 10,000 won..?), she said if I came back after finishing consultations at other clinics, she would arrange a consultation with the director doctor. Would I want to go back?? There are so many other clinics. Who would think the words of a consultant who says all kinds of things because she wants to make you have surgery that same day count as a “consultation”? If they want to take a consultation fee for only a consultation with a consultant, at the very least they should show cases similar to mine or cases by the director doctor they recommended; I was even recommended only same-day surgery while being told their clinic has no side-effect complaints so I could trust them, while I “had not even heard what kind of aftercare they operate.”
3) Number mc clinic (Gyodae) There was no consultation fee, and the whole building is the clinic, but there was only one elevator, so waiting for the elevator was kind of hard lol First of all, it was systematic, and the consultant was kind. Maybe because I went right after the previous clinic... I did not expect much and went with the mindset of just checking it out, but I started to think it seemed okay. Here, they said if I do the arms, they would just include the scapular area and bra line as a service. But accessory breast tissue would be an additional charge, so it went far beyond my budget. The consultant recommended that I first do only the arms and later do LAMS for the accessory breast tissue... This place also has fixed prices, and to get a discount, payment had to be made. It was not same-day surgery, but they said they would give a discount if I took a canceled surgery slot the very next week. They said that even if I could not have surgery next week, I could postpone it, but I would have to wait until a surgery slot opens from a cancellation. The price range for doing accessory breast tissue with LAMS and adding it with liposuction was not hugely different, so I asked if they could include the accessory breast tissue and give a discount, but they said that was impossible Here too, they kept urging? me to quickly pay the reservation deposit, but I thought I would regret it if I did not do the accessory breast tissue, so I also said it was okay even if I did not receive the discount and that I would contact them later. As expected from a large clinic, their own points system, aftercare, and diet management were well organized. There was no consultation with the director doctor here either, but they showed me surgical review photos by each director doctor and compared them for me. This clinic is famous for not giving discounts easily, so if you want to do it here, aiming for a canceled surgery slot also seems like one method. - I thought that if the last clinic was really not good after going there, I should go here.
4) ㅋㄹㅇ There was no consultation fee, and as soon as I went in, I changed clothes and had a consultation with the director doctor. They measured fat thickness with a pinch test and said the lower arms would also be suctioned. They said areas that can be reached through the incision openings are included without extra cost. (Including the accessory breast tissue and side back line I care about!) This place also has fixed prices + additional cost by body weight. It was slightly over my budget, but first of all, the suction area was wide for the cost, so I did not think it was expensive. They do not have you wear a compression garment here, but said I could wear one personally after 2 weeks. Aftercare was posted on the wall up to week 4, and I was informed that if my weight does not increase after 6 months, revision surgery is possible.
The prices were in the order 1) > 4) > 2) > 3), and I decided to go with clinic 4). After going around for consultations, maybe because I heard a lot that my fat is firm and I have a large amount of fat so I should see good results, I just decided I should get it from a director doctor with a lot of experience. The staff were kind, and the consultant did not recommend making a same-day reservation, so I just quickly booked the surgery, did a blood test, and came back.
<<Everyone going around for liposuction consultations, especially those who saved money and are consulting with a fixed budget... I hope you do not get tempted by recommendations saying they will match the price if you have surgery that day, and think rationally! Of course, there are many clinics that give discounts for same-day surgery, booking canceled surgery dates, or even just making a reservation on the day, and you may think of being a cosmetic surgery model or providing photos as reasonable ways to save on surgical costs. And sometimes they are reasonable. My friend got arm liposuction cheaply as a cosmetic surgery model and was satisfied, so she also had fat grafting as a model at another place and had a very unsatisfactory experience... Liposuction is not something you can do many times, so instead of being swayed for no reason, doing it, and regretting it, there are many clinics in Korea... Anyway, a clinic I like will appear someday... Think that way and find a good clinic, a clinic that fits you!>>
