Today I had the splint and tape removed. Everyone said it would be very swollen and not pretty when the splint comes off, so I went without high expectations, but the moment I looked in the mirror, regret came rushing in. I had really become that Avatar I’d only heard about. Rather than thinking the nasal bridge had become slim and higher, my whole nose looks puffy and swollen, like it’s filled with fluid? The swelling between my eyebrows is also huge.. it’s just unbelievably strange. The doctor said not to worry because once the swelling goes down it will become slimmer, but is that really true?? I have to go to work this coming Monday.. I don’t know how I’m supposed to go in this state. I really feel like I’m going crazy.. The bruising hasn’t even all gone away yet... Please tell me effective ways to reduce swelling.
