4-Month Review After Breast Fat Grafting

Lately, every time I look in the mirror, I feel like I’m not quite the same as before. My body hasn’t changed dramatically, but something has definitely become different in a ‘soft and natural’ way. Before, even when I saw pretty clothes and thought, “That looks nice,” I would unconsciously take a step back. “Lines like that wouldn’t suit me…” I used to draw that line in my mind first. But these days, even with clothes that fit a little tight or show some volume, my first thought is, “Should I try it on?” It feels like the standards that used to restrict me are slowly breaking down. That felt really amazing to me. To be honest, my upper body is on the slimmer side, but I have an ‘unbalanced body shape’ with only my pelvis standing out, so even when people told me I looked fine on the outside, my heart always felt empty. Rather than wanting to become bigger, my wish was more like, ‘I just hope this area could be filled in even a little more.’ So after thinking about it for a really long time, I got fat grafting surgery. The fact that my own fat was used made me feel more at ease, and the act of ‘filling’ something itself felt like a great comfort to me. Right after surgery, I barely had any bruising, and it looked natural enough that it didn’t interfere with daily life. Now it really feels like ‘my own body,’ so there are times when I suddenly even forget that I had surgery. My cup size didn’t go up dramatically. About half a cup? But even so, the line looks different when I wear clothes, and there are moments when I can feel a slight volume even without a bra, so my heart feels filled first. It’s really hot these days, so people wear a lot of tube tops and sleeveless tops, right? But in the past, my size made me feel too unconfident to wear them with just nipple patches, so I couldn’t. This year, though, I’ve been wearing them very confidently. That turned out to be a bigger change than I expected. The fact that ‘how I feel about myself’ has improved more than ‘how I look to others.’ I still have a very small desire to fill it in a bit more, but I’m fully satisfied with how it feels now. More than any other change, the fact that ‘my attitude toward myself’ has changed. I think that’s the greatest gift this surgery has given me.
