I had filler removal through an armpit incision at Fore Plastic Surgery~~

My breasts had 900 cc of hyaluronic acid filler injected over a total of 4 sessions..! At the time, I didn’t know that if problems like inflammation occur with filler, the entire breast tissue may have to be exposed While looking into it this time, I even found out the shocking fact that there are no fillers approved for use in the body.. It wasn’t a situation where filler removal was absolutely necessary right away, but because of concerns about how long it would last and possible inflammation in the future, I thought it would be good to remove the filler and have surgery in my current situation, so I looked into several places and finally decided on Fore. They said they could do filler removal and breast augmentation at the same time, and that it could be done through the armpit too. Fore was the only place that said that (they said simultaneous removal and implant insertion is possible only if there is no inflammation). During the consultation, there were also many other patients who had filler removal, and they explained while showing the surgical process, so it was easy to understand. They also checked very thoroughly with ultrasound and explained exactly where and how the filler was located. Other hospitals all talked about doing it through an inframammary incision or areolar incision, and after the removal surgery, although plastic surgery directors are usually like that in general, I especially got a strong perfectionist impression from Director Kim Min-young at Fore, so for my situation, which was close to revision surgery, I felt it was the best choice. There are many types of fillers, and I thought hyaluronic acid filler was safe because it is used on the face, but they said hyaluronic acid filler has high viscosity, so it does not feel soft and squishy, but becomes like a bouncy ball, and unlike other fillers, it is harder to remove. Because filler is injected and spread throughout the tissues, if they try to remove all of it, there would be no normal tissue left at all (like someone who has had breast cancer surgery,,) They said that even if they removed it as meticulously as possible, they would not be able to remove 100% of the filler. Only now do I understand why my breasts were so hard even though I had filler injected (I only found out when it was time to remove it,,) I have some breast asymmetry, so they used different volumes: 200 cc and 180 cc Motiva Mini implants. The director said from the start that because my tissue had generally become scar-like? due to the filler and had become very firm, I should not go too big. Fortunately, I also did not want large breasts, so our needs matched well. My breast width is not narrow (my shoulders are on the broad side), but because a smaller volume had to be used, I think they chose Mini! I requested a UU shape, and when I went in for the 3-day follow-up, the director said there was a risk of a rice-bowl shape I was actually satisfied, but the director was worried. From day 7, I started wearing the upper band, and now it’s week 2. I finally understand what the director meant by the rice-bowl feeling The shape definitely changes when wearing the band. It is getting closer to the UU shape I wanted. 1. Pain It was my first general anesthesia, but I had no aftereffects at all~ (nausea, dizziness, etc.) Since I had received 900 cc of breast filler over 4 sessions, they said my skin was probably already somewhat stretched, and maybe because of that, I had no pain at all from the breast surgery Discomfort,, foreign-body sensation,, pain,, none at all haha I had liposuction on my upper arms, abdomen, and flanks at the same time, so instead, I had a hard time because of the abdominal liposuction discomfort + pain Since I had to live without using my upper body at all, the first 3-5 days were really uncomfortable + irritation overload 2. Surgery time Usually people who only get breast surgery take under 2 hours, and even if it’s long, about 2 hours, but mine took 4 hours and 30 minutes because they also had to remove the filler, which was very messily tangled. They said it had gone in very messily both above and below the pectoral muscle. 3. Going home I think I was in surgery for over 6 hours. The clinic closes at 7 p.m., but because of me, everyone went home after 7:30. I came to around 7 p.m., and for 30-40 minutes I received a crash course on the postoperative instruction sheet, medication, how to wear the compression bra, how to empty the drainage bag, etc., then came home by taxi while still dazed. The scheduled surgery time they had told me had passed and I still hadn’t contacted anyone, so it seems my mom called the clinic several times, worried that there might have been a problem with the surgery. They checked with me several times about how much they were allowed to tell her, and responded kindly and carefully, so I was especially grateful (For liposuction too, my tissue was so tough that even the liposuction took more time than expected.) 4. Recovery I went back to work 5 days after surgery, and since I have an office job, I was able to work without any issues. Honestly, if I hadn’t had liposuction, I think I could have gone to work after just 3 days. It doesn’t seem like surgery with severe aftereffects like in the past anymore. Getting breast filler actually felt more uncomfortable. At the 1-week postoperative visit, they showed me photos they had taken inside the breast pocket during surgery, and it was so fascinating that the inside of my body looked like that. I think they did the surgery very cleanly and well. The feel of my breasts is also much softer than before surgery (before surgery, they felt like bouncy balls), and they corrected the asymmetry too. The surgical wounds have healed well, and the filler that had been bothering me has been cleaned up, so now the only mission left is for the tissue texture to soften and settle into place. For the liposuction, I used recovery as an excuse to play, eat, and sleep, so I feel like I gained some weight, and the results are not clearly visible yet, but these days I’m looking forward to the 1-month mark!!! I want to take off the compression bra quickly and wear a regular bra haha
