First, the hospital said they would do revision surgery (they say removal is absolutely not possible) (I haven’t had a removal consultation yet) They said to preserve the autologous costal cartilage, use silicone for the nasal bridge, and since my nose is too high, do a lower revision surgery. For the cost, they asked for general anesthesia + CT fees lolololol They said they did nothing wrong until the end, but they’re doing it for me, and if I don’t like it, I should go somewhere else... Putting that aside, the problem is... Right now, except for the Gore-Tex, there’s nothing wrong with my nose. My parents say not to mess with a perfectly fine nose again and ruin it, and to just live with it, then later when I’m older switch to dermis. After hearing my parents, I started thinking, if I open up a perfectly fine nose again, maybe that’s true... Could there be no side effects... tens of thousands of thoughts started coming to mind. But then on the other hand, Gore-Tex is hard to remove once it gets old too... I don’t know what the right answer is what would be right. I’m not sure. What would everyone here do...? They said surgery has to be done within 1 year no matter what (AS period). I’ll attach my current nose. ‼️And I absolutely cannot give any hints whatsoever about the hospital or the location‼️
우리집고양이야옹 At first I thought the shape was fine, so why bother... But if Gore-Tex causes problems, it really does get so tough.... No, why did they put that in however they wanted
또금 [@우리집고양이야옹] Exactly… lol If it had been silicone from the start, I wouldn’t even be worrying like this. It’s way too late to regret it, and I’m really so torn about Gore-Tex
익명 So they put it in however they wanted without even telling you beforehand? I heard they don’t use that much these days..

또금 [@] Yeah, you can tell if you read my post, but we had decided to go with silicone, and it turned out to be Gore-Tex..

햄토리321 That hospital is seriously absurd, isn’t it? Personally, I hope you just don’t have surgery. The more you keep touching the nose... The current shape is pretty, you know? My younger sibling has had Gore-Tex for 15 years and is living fine, and I removed mine two weeks ago. It’s all case by case, so you could have side effects after switching to silicone too... What I mean is, it’s better not to keep touching the nose.
또금 [@햄토리321] Hey, thanks for the comment~~ By any chance, did you have Gore-Tex too!? Did the removal go well too!? My biggest worry is just that later the adhesions might get so severe that I won’t be able to remove it! Other than this, I think it might be okay
햄토리321 [@또금] Yeah, I had Gore-Tex too. The removal went well. They said Gore-Tex is harder than silicone, but removal is possible. Mine had been there for 15 years too, and I removed it.
또금 [@햄토리321] Seeing your comment makes me feel relieved! Today I went for an epicanthoplasty consultation and asked about this too, and all the doctors tried to stop me~! They said it’s okay, and if there’s no problem, remove it when a problem occurs! Everyone said the same thing with one mind, so I decided to remove it later! Seeing your comment that even 15-year-old Gore-Tex was removed well! I feel like my worries have eased a bit. Thanks for the comment and have a good night!
