I had wanted alar reduction for a long time, and I had also gotten several consultations for nose surgery in the past. I kept putting it off because I was worried but then I thought this would never end if I kept hesitating, so when I was in Seoul I looked for a place that specializes in alar reduction. (At first I thought my nose itself was the problem, but after thinking about it carefully, my nostrils were the biggest complex for me, so I planned to improve that first and, if I wasn’t satisfied later, get another surgery after that.) There were many places that looked promising, but I somehow liked this one, so I immediately booked a consultation and went. The manager was kind, and they also showed me surgical cases from other patients. The consultation with the director was short, but he said it would probably look like this, and if we did it this way it should work, while shaping my nose for me. I liked it so much that I decided to have surgery here. I didn’t know when I would next go to Seoul, so I couldn’t set a surgery date, but with 4 days left before the surgery I made a rushed reservation, and luckily there was an opening so I got it done then. Because the previous surgery ran long, the wait was quite long The surgery ended quickly, and now I’m almost at week 3, and for now I’m very, very satisfied! The right nostril might be a little bigger, or maybe the suture site seems to be higher up, so I am a little concerned, but the scar is still quite red so maybe that’s why it stands out more. I’m going to keep watching the healing. Fortunately, there hasn’t been any scar tissue or acne yet. Since my nostrils got smaller, my nose also looks smaller and it opens less when I smile, so I’m satisfied And my nose also looks a bit higher. (My nose was originally high, but maybe because the gaze that was dispersed now goes toward the bridge, it looks that way?) Oh, and it came out exactly like the shape the director drew during the consultation! It was made a bit smaller than at the consultation, but the overall shape is the same. I also had thought I might get the tip done later, and I was worried about looking pinched or artificial, but it turned out really naturally Nobody around me has noticed. The scar is a little red like I said earlier, but because it’s below the nostrils, you can’t see it unless I tilt my face up I should keep applying scar cream diligently!!
What I regret: the surgical wait was long…! Luckily I had no plans before or after, and my battery was full, so I managed to endure it.
