I’m writing this in the hope that it will be even a little helpful to people who are hesitating about surgery because they have the same concerns as I did. As of the time I’m writing this, 1 month and 3 days have passed since the surgery ended. At the 1-month mark, I visited the hospital, had follow-up photos taken, and had foreign matter inside my nose (nasal discharge and clumps of scabs) briefly removed. After that, I had sebum care and then a consultation with the director. During the consultation, the director said the silicone on the nasal bridge had not shifted and there was no inflammation, and that the nose shape had settled well. I felt relieved that there was no inflammation, which I had been worried about, and from then on I started asking questions. I asked questions related to daily life, such as whether I could lie on my side and whether I could wash my hair with my head bent down, and when I heard that it was okay, I felt like I could finally live normally again. As you can see in the photos, unlike before, I now have a nasal bridge, and you can tell that my nose has become smaller overall. Maybe because of that, my concerns about my nose have decreased, and above all, my rhinitis has improved noticeably. Before, I had a lot of runny nose and severe nasal congestion, but now that I barely have nasal congestion, my nose does not run as much either, so I feel more comfortable. I was glad that the problems I had been worrying about were resolved. The director said that although the surgery was completed successfully, management from now on is even more important, and also told me to visit the clinic for treatment if even a small problem occurs. From now on, I need to manage it so that the remaining minor swelling goes down and the shape is maintained well.
