I also had mine removed today

It’s been exactly two months since surgery~ (my nasal tip was very large and also drooped downward) I had osteotomy, 1 mm silicone, and ear cartilage for the nasal tip. From week 3, my nose would swell, then after disinfection and putting on the splint it would go down a bit, and after removing it, it would swell again after a while. This repeated 4 times (there was no inflammation, but blood kept collecting and there was swelling of unknown cause).. In the end, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the silicone wasn’t settling into place and kept floating. Starting three days ago, morning and evening, a very pale yellow fluid ran down (I don’t know if it was inflammation, but there was no pain at all, no redness, and no pus came out). During that time, my body and mind were becoming devastated. I couldn’t go to work, and I was bothered by every tiny thing. I struggled desperately alone, and after some time passed, my mind felt empty, like I had been completely transformed. In the end, I made up my mind to remove it, went to the hospital today, consulted with the manager and director, and had it removed right away. For now~~~ I’m so happy I feel like I could fly~ I feel light. Like the person below me who said they had it removed, I also didn’t have the confidence to live my whole life carrying the worry of side effects. I feel really, really relieved. But~~ but~~~ After the surgery was done, the director told me he didn’t just remove the silicone, he also refined the nasal tip again~ He said he reduced the nostril wings too I was supposed to have my nasal tip touched up again after 6 months (because the columella is a bit droopy). My nasal bridge was originally high, so removing the silicone was okay, but he said the nostril wings and nasal bridge were large, so he reduced them a bit. He said if there’s any sunken area in the middle of the nasal bridge, he would fill it with some injection, but I don’t know how it will turn out. When I worried about scar tissue, he said he opened the nose and the tissue quality was okay, so while it was open he touched up the nasal tip too. I guess I’ll only know with time, right? When the splint comes off, I’ll post another review~~ with photos too
