[Photo down below~] Osteotomy, hump nose, crooked nose, septum, alar base reduction…

First of all. I was debating whether to post this since it’s only been a week, but I’m posting it for now. Honestly, if you get rhinoplasty, it doesn’t make sense if the side profile isn’t pretty, right? After the surgery I was curious about front-view photos, and I thought there might be people like me, so I’m uploading a few front photos too, even though it’s still very puffy. The first photo is the one I posted before surgery when I came here for a consultation. The second photo is from now, one week after surgery. I had osteotomy, smoothing of the dorsal hump, correction of the crooked nose, septal extension rhinoplasty using septal cartilage for the tip, and alar base reduction. Ah! They also inserted septal cartilage into the glabella after shaving down the hump. Right now the swelling from the glabella to the tip still hasn’t gone down much, so it looks really puffy, but I had mentally prepared for that, so I’m waiting comfortably. My nose was big to begin with, so I just wanted it not to get any bigger, and I’m satisfied! Especially since it’s still swollen right now! And another part I was worried about. With alar base reduction, the nostrils can become uneven. I took that into account too, but it was still something I worried about. But this part also seems to have turned out really well. In my case, because my nose was crooked, the right alar base was wider, so that side was reduced more, but even so, I think the nostrils came out very nicely. For the alar base reduction, I had both an external reduction method and an internal tying method done at the same time.^^ The sedation anesthesia went well too, so after the surgery was all finished, I woke up and walked into the recovery room. After that, there wasn’t a single bit of pain, only discomfort. Oh, and while reading reviews, I was also oddly nervous about trimming the nose hairs, which was surprisingly stressful. It looks like our hospital trims them after putting you under anesthesia. Do they trim them after opening? Anyway, they didn’t trim them before anesthesia, and I was only hooked up to an IV ahead of time. Anyway, I had my stitches and splint removed two days ago, and I’m in the process of letting the swelling go down. It’s exactly one week. I’ll need to keep watching it a little longer, but I hope this is helpful to some of you.^^
