I didn’t really know much about rhinoplasty back then, I just thought costal cartilage was good and had the surgery, but my nose collapsed. The tip looked like it had dropped. I asked them to remove it and place silicone very shallowly around it, but first the doctor said let’s just remove it. That alone would be enough, and the shape distortion wouldn’t be severe. It hasn’t been long since surgery so there’s swelling, but the nose shape looks a lot like my old nose.. I’m so grateful for just this alone... I really wanted to go back to my old nose so badly. My tip can move freely now too, and there’s no more hard stiffness that felt like it would poke through. Finding a revision hospital was really hard, but I think I made a very good choice with the hospital... I’m so happy to be back to my original nose.
