As of today, it has been exactly 5 weeks since removal. I hesitated about whether to write this post or not. Because. It’s not really at a stage where I can say for sure that it’s getting better yet. I thought about leaving a post around week 6 or 7 if it really improved visibly... But I thought there might be people waiting.. so I’m writing this. As I got close to week 5.. somehow, very subtly... I can feel that it’s getting better. Just a few days ago I was crying and making a scene.. Plus, if you’ve kept reading my posts, you’ll know.. For about 1-2 weeks after removal, I said it was okay. Then around week 3, I wrote that I was going crazy.. My psychological state was really up and down. So.. even now I can slightly see signs of improvement.. but it’s not at a stage where I can say this seems to be clearly getting better.... so I feel like I want to hold back my words. If I post again in a few days saying I feel like I’m dying, that would be ridiculous..;; Anyway... the reason I feel it is improving, even very subtly, is... When I look in the mirror at the store where my nose still looks its absolute worst.. my nose still looks awkward and makes my philtrum look long... But still, it also seems to have gotten a tiny bit better. When I touch the columella from the top... I used to feel that the columella had curled deeply inward toward the incision-line area.. It still is indented. But as it feels naturally connected... the lower part of the columella below the incision area, which had been pulled inward, has come slightly forward. But.. is this just my imagination.. Or am I just getting used to it from looking at it all the time? The columella that looked really subtly awkward does seem a bit better, so right now it’s an ambiguous state where I can’t say exactly that it’s getting better. Still, when I wake up in the morning.. there’s a stone sitting on my nose.. When I move my philtrum.. the columella still pulls and feels stiff... But shape-wise... it also looks a little better than the terrible appearance from a few days ago.. Whether this is because the scar tissue is loosening.. or because I’ve been consistently going to the gym and sauna since early October. or because I seriously started massaging strongly from about a month onward... or because I read Ming-a a’s hopeful post and became psychologically calmer.... I do feel like it’s getting a little better. In any case... The amount of time I spend thinking about my nose during the day has decreased a lot.. and the time I spend focusing on other things is increasing... But.. it’s still not really a state where I can discuss whether it is or isn’t improving. I’ll post again when it visibly improves. But... I’m firmly convinced it will definitely get better from now on.. That much seems certain. I’m holding back a lot right now... because I don’t know what will happen going forward...;; But.. definitely.. as I get close to week 5, I think it’s true that the awkward columella and philtrum area are improving, even if only very subtly... Anyway.. then I’ll post again.. I’m going to take a nap......
