It’s been 3 days since my surgery!

I’ll post a review for those who are about to have surgery. It was also my first time having surgery, except for LASEK.. I was really very nervous First, you come to the hospital, get a rough explanation, and take photos. Then you lie down on the operating table. They tie your hair and tape all around your hairline with adhesive tape. Since the surgery takes about an hour, a needle goes in so you can get a small IV drip. It stings. And because of the heart monitor, they clip something onto your finger. I was so nervous that I wasn’t breathing, so my heart rate dropped and the nurse was startled.. Then first they anesthetize the ear for the ear cartilage. The anesthetic injection stings a little too. When they do the ear, you can hear everything.. the sound of cutting, the sound and smell of cauterizing.. I tried not to pay attention to this, so I played addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication games by myself, tapped along with my fingers on the other side, and focused intensely on my fingers. Even with anesthesia, you can still feel things; you just don’t feel the pain.. Because of the ear cartilage, they stitch behind the ear. You can hear all the tight, tugging sounds of the suturing. The sound of the thread being pulled tight; After doing the ear, the doctor draws marks on the nose. He tells you not to be scared because he isn’t operating yet. Then it gets quiet next to you for a bit. I think he was carving the silicone. Then they start sleep anesthesia. They ask how much you can drink, so I think they use an anesthetic suited to that. I heard “popol,” so I think they use propofol. I think they put the anesthetic into the IV. As soon as it goes in, you suddenly feel the alcohol-like effect. The doctor asked, “Are you okay?” and I said, “I’m okay.” Then I think I fell asleep lol When I came to, the surgery was underway. They said the sleep anesthesia is given because local anesthesia for the nose hurts. As expected, there are sounds and sensations. I even felt like my face was being hit with a hammer. He had said I had a slight hump-_-; Ah, time really wouldn’t pass;; In the middle, he said he would have to use AlloDerm after all, so I thought, so he’s using AlloDerm after all..; At the very end, he stitched the nose, and again I could hear all the tight tugging sounds of the thread. He asked the nurses whether it turned out well; Then he tapes the nose, and said that the more taping they do, the less swelling there will be. And maybe it was to help the nose shape set well, but I could feel him pressing the nose down really firmly. When I kept frowning, he asked if it hurt; After the surgery ended, they removed the IV needle, and the nurse swept my hair back and removed the adhesive tape stuck around my forehead and face, and that hurt the most-_-; It felt like all my hair was being pulled out lol Then because I was a bit dizzy from the anesthesia, I lay down in the recovery room. While doing cold compresses, I lay down for about 30 minutes, then I was so hungry that I just went home. I took home two eye masks, a white mask, and about 5 days’ worth of medicine. On the day of surgery, my face wasn’t swollen, and I wondered how much it would hurt once the anesthesia wore off, but it didn’t hurt;;; You know that numb, aching feeling when you get your ears pierced? Once the anesthesia wore off, my ear felt a bit numb and aching, and honestly my nose didn’t really hurt either;; And in other reviews, people said their noses were blocked with tissue, but mine wasn’t blocked. I ate well and chewed kkakdugi and everything just fine, and that day my nose kept bleeding a little. It wasn’t a gushing nosebleed, just a slight trickle, and they told me not to worry because it was blood that had pooled in the nose coming out, and it really stopped the next day. The swelling started from the next day. The inner front of my eyes became red and bruised, and blue bruises started forming around my eyes, and the day after that it swelled even more;; I look completely like Avatar. But the taped nose shape looks pretty and natural, so I’m satisfied. I want to take the tape off soon, have the swelling go down, and walk around outside. In conclusion, the surgery is doable; Even after the anesthesia wears off, it doesn’t hurt that much;; Other people said the ear hurt as if it were being torn apart, but it just feels numb and aching like when getting your ear pierced. For reference, I had silicone and ear cartilage for the nasal tip. They said I had a slight hump, so they shaved off a little bone. I hope my post helps. Become prettier~ lol
