I was going to have surgery at an ENT clinic for a deviated septum, but a plastic surgery clinic said they would slightly shave down the bone protruding on the nasal bridge, remove some septal cartilage, and just lift my slightly spread nasal tip, so I didn’t even shop around, and although it wasn’t a hospital specializing in nose surgery, I had the operation there. My nose was already on the higher side, so I didn’t use silicone.
My nose became shorter and way too upturned. The nasal tip became crooked, and my nostrils changed into an almost crushed rectangular shape. Maybe because my long nose became short, the opened columella looks bumpy, as if there is excess skin attached there. The septal support looks so unnatural that my nose ended up looking awkward, as if it had been pulled upward. It has been 2 weeks. Would removal be possible? It wasn’t just tying the nasal tip cartilages, and because it became so short, I feel like the alar cartilage at the nasal tip may have been removed.. so I’m very worried about removal too.
The doctor is backing away, saying that he told me results he never mentioned before surgery (that my nose would become shorter, that because my nose is deviated the tip would also become crooked). Only the consultation manager acknowledges the result, but even so, she says it’s swelling and that I need to wait. If I had heard those things before surgery, would I have done it? My nose was relatively long and high. They absolutely don’t mention removal or revision surgery, and only tell me to wait 6 months because it’s swelling. For days I haven’t been able to do anything and have just been crying. After reading reviews in communities, I realized that nose surgery is hard to succeed at even in specialized hospitals. I feel so pathetic for thinking it would be simple because it was only the nasal tip.
There are hospitals (ooo, rcc) that do revision surgery within 2 weeks. But I’m worried about side effects such as inflammation and that the shape may turn out strange again, so even if they offer to do it, it’s hard to decide. If anyone has had a similar experience, please give me advice.
