A place that specializes only in facial contouring. I really disliked the chaotic, marketplace-like atmosphere at most large plastic surgery clinics where they do all kinds of procedures. But at this clinic, I felt trust because it was private and specialized only in facial contouring.
I’ve sometimes seen staff at hospitals who try to get into a power struggle, but it’s hard to find anyone like that here... The consultation manager and desk staff are all kind, and the surgical assistants must be physically exhausted, but they are endlessly kind too! (Of course, including the director.) And when Director Oh Jung-seok consulted with me, I liked that he explained things professionally and in an easy-to-understand way.
After removing the pins, first of all, I feel at ease. The breakouts still seem to have happened because I ate a lot of strange things... Still, for those who are afraid it might set off alarms at the airport, I strongly recommend doing it (it actually doesn’t get detected, but I was scared it might). My cheekbones feel somehow more comfortable than before (I no longer hear a sound when opening and closing my mouth: before, there was a sound when I opened my mouth wide).
Recovery: Until week 1, there was major swelling and bruising, and it swelled up to beside my nose and around my eyes (I only ate soft liquid foods because I was worried the incision sites might open). From week 2, only minor swelling remained and there was no bruising (regular food was possible, but I couldn’t eat hard foods like cubed radish kimchi). In week 3, after removing the stitches, the minor swelling clearly went down a lot haha. Now that it’s been over a month, the surgical area doesn’t hurt at all... lol
Of course, even after surgery, it wasn’t as painful as when I had facial contouring, but in the beginning, before it healed, swelling, eating, and brushing my teeth were difficult. Still, I think people who have had facial contouring may feel this is manageable.
