Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

Orthodontic treatment review

I'm in my 3rd year of non-extraction orthodontic treatment. My temporomandibular joint was bad, and because of that I had an open bite. My jaw is very small and my airway is too narrow, so if I had extractions, my airway could become blocked. That's why I did non-extraction treatment, but even though it's been 3 years since starting orthodontics, the bite is only aligned and because it was non-extraction, there hasn't been a big effect

Maybe because I have a retruded chin, I do regret a little that I should have had double-jaw surgery. I heard that to do double-jaw surgery for a retruded chin, they need to bring the mandible forward and extract lower teeth, but then the orthodontic treatment period would get even longer. But rather than simply being dissatisfied cosmetically, I keep feeling like my jaw is being pushed backward. I don't know if it's because my temporomandibular joint is bad, but my neck is getting more and more tight too.. For now, when I have time, I'm planning to go to an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic and get a consultation on my current condition.
