I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery on only one side. Once all the swelling went down, it really became similar to the side that wasn’t done. However, there is a difference in how defined it is. The line also looks a bit different when my eyes are closed. Still, when my eyes are open, they look almost the same, and people usually don’t notice? Now that 1-2 years have passed, the shape is fine, but the strength when opening my eyes is a bit different, so I’m considering surgery on the other side too..
The director isn’t particularly kind and seems to have their own strong preferences. Still, there are many reviews for one-sided double eyelid surgery, and after all the swelling went down, it seems they matched it well with the other eye, so I recommend it. If you’re doing double eyelid surgery on both sides, I don’t think there’s any particular need to do it here.
