First of all, I had a protruding mouth, my gums showed when I smiled, and my canine teeth had erupted through the gums. Still, my teeth were fairly well aligned both on top and bottom. So I thought it would not cost much, but it came to 4.2 million won, and with a discount applied it was 3.7 million. I also had to pay 50,000 won every time I went each month. Including one baby tooth, I had a total of 5 teeth extracted. I still have some asymmetry now, but it improved a lot after orthodontic treatment. While closing the protruding mouth, my jaw bulged like a toad, but now the shape of my face is clearly visible.. So now I also worry about a square jaw.. Appearance-wise, it became easier to look at, and I like that I can show my teeth and smile. The downsides are that more foreign matter gets stuck in my teeth, my gums have receded, brushing is difficult, and the gum showing when I smile was not corrected. When I was young, I just did it at a place where someone I knew was getting orthodontic treatment, and I regret not looking into more clinics. Please really shop around a lot for orthodontic dental clinics too. Looking at my friends around me, there are many places where they got it done prettier and cheaper.
