First-day facial contouring review

I had surgery today as the first appointment I arrived at the hospital by 9, washed my face, changed into the hospital gown, filled out the consent forms, had my face photographed once more, paid the amount excluding the deposit, and sat in the waiting room. I couldn’t sleep the night before because of all sorts of thoughts, but at the hospital I wasn’t especially nervous. Then I had a brief final consultation with the director based on the previous consultation, and went into the operating room. My chin is on the long side, so together with chin surgery they smoothed the surrounding area to avoid a secondary angle. My left jaw angle isn’t very pronounced, but the right side sticks out a little more than the left, so the jaw angle was asymmetrical, and they decided to address only the right side. Since this was my first surgery under general anesthesia, I had imagined the operating room would feel very grand and intimidating, but it wasn’t quite like that, so I think I was at least a little less nervous..! They inserted an IV in my arm and started the medication. My arm felt a little sore, and they also attached a clip? to my ankle and fixed my body so I wouldn’t move. A little later, the anesthesiologist-director came in and said I would be asleep now, then administered the medication. I felt like the world was turning slightly white, and after that I have no memory. When I came to, I was in the recovery room, and I felt a bit dizzy, which was hard. My throat stung a little here and there, and after staying there a while, the right jaw angle area also started to feel slightly painful.. It wasn’t extremely painful, but more like, what if it gets worse from here? I didn’t have a drain, and when I asked earlier, the coordinator had said I probably wouldn’t need to be hospitalized, but if the director said I should, I might have to. Then during the pre-op consultation, the director actually asked me whether I wanted to be hospitalized. So I said I would decide after seeing how things went, and that if it might hurt a lot, it might be better to do it just in case. It wasn’t terribly painful afterward, but I felt dizzy and had no strength in my whole body, so I wondered if I could even take public transportation home. But after lying in the recovery room a bit longer, I felt much better, so I said I would go home and listened to the precautions. Then I changed clothes, took the gargle solution and ice packs they gave me, submitted the prescription to the pharmacy, got my medicine, and came home. I came home wearing a face compression strap, a hat, and a mask. Right now the swelling is only to the point where my cheeks are a little puffy, so it’s manageable, but I’m a little worried about days 2 to 3, when they say swelling is at its worst. It’s still only the first day, so I don’t know yet whether it went well, so I’ll keep watching the recovery and leave another review later~ Thank you to everyone who cheered me on and told me to come back safely after surgery!!
