It had been over 15 years. Starting three or four years ago, the implant at my nasal tip began showing through, so I thought I should probably go to a hospital. Even when traveling overseas, I was stressed about things like possibly getting injured in an unfamiliar place. After dealing with that stress, this year I seriously started looking into hospitals and decided to have it removed. There weren’t any other particular side effects. But because I had been mentally distressed for years due to the implant showing through, I decided to just remove everything completely and went to consultations mainly at hospitals known for good removal surgery. On the day I had my consultation last week, I trusted them and scheduled a date, and now I’m on my way home after surgery. After more than 15 years with silicone and Gore-Tex at the nasal tip, I had them removed and am going home.
