1 week after posterior lower canthoplasty I had always wanted eyes that looked wide open, and because I had a complex about having small, narrow eyes, I used to draw my eyeliner long and wear heavy eye makeup, so people often told me my makeup looked messy. To get rid of that complex, I had posterior canthoplasty surgery twice at another clinic, but there was no effect, and the director at that other clinic said my eyes could not be widened any further. Just as I was about to give up hope, acquaintances around me and app reviews said there was a clinic famous for canthoplasty that could make the eyes definitely wider, so I went there half in doubt. When I went, the clinic staff were much kinder than I expected, and I really felt like I was being treated well. Most importantly, the director must meet so many people every day and be tired, but without showing any of that, he approached me warmly and kindly, and said something I could trust: that he would definitely make my eyes pretty without breaking the trust between us. Just hearing that it was possible really touched me. So I scheduled a date that day and decided to have the surgery. You might wonder, even if I had gone to another clinic and heard the same words, “I’ll make them pretty,” wouldn’t I have done it there? Words are words, and the clinic’s skill matters, but I think the atmosphere of the clinic also played a part. I strongly felt an intuition and warm sense of stability that made me think, I want to do it here, I can trust them with my eyes here. On the day of surgery, even though it was my third posterior canthoplasty surgery, I went in extremely nervous. But only for a moment, because they responded with such warm smiles that I think I went into surgery without even having time to be nervous. During the surgery, I briefly woke up, and although it did not hurt, the feeling of being operated on was strange, so I frowned. The director worried about me, reassured me that it was okay and almost over, so I was able to finish the surgery comfortably without anxiety. Also, the consultant could have found it bothersome, but she explained everything step by step from beginning to end, and even when I asked the same thing again, she explained it once more, so I was very grateful. After the surgery, I had no painful pain, and I was okay enough to come out right away without recovering in the recovery room, with no problem in daily life, but there was swelling and red edema in my eyes. On the day of surgery, people around me looked at my eyes and said they had definitely gotten bigger, and my acquaintances were more curious than I was about how they would look once the swelling and edema went down. That means my eyes have definitely changed from before, right? After all the stitches are removed and 3 weeks pass, I’ll come back and post how they changed. I’m so happy I could die.
