Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

Day 26 After Two-Type Facial Contouring. I’m Upset

I thought that by week 4, the swelling would have gone down quite a bit, and I’d be able to put on makeup, go out, and have fun. I had originally set aside one month to rest, and around the one-month mark I was planning to go out. Until about week 2, the swelling went down smoothly, and even the director who checked me at the 2-week follow-up said the swelling was going down really well, but the problem came after that. I felt reassured, thinking that at this pace it would be okay, but there really is a reason people say you’ll look awkward until one month. The swelling is still there, and whether it’s chin swelling or just chin fat, the area is puffy, so with the double chin and jawline showing to some extent, it doesn’t look especially pretty. If I rest until two months, I think the mental stress will be severe, but around week 3, the swelling started going down so slowly that there’s hardly any noticeable change. I’m just at home, ordering food or cooking, trying to reduce swelling by exercising a little, doing warm compresses often, wearing the compression band often, and spending each day like that (especially because these days, with COVID, there’s even less reason to go out), but changes in my face are really slow. From the front, I honestly don’t see a big difference from before surgery, the inside of my mouth feels tight, the intraoral swelling is puffed up so speaking feels awkward, and it feels like both a mental and physical battle. Right now, my face looks uglier than before surgery. When I look in the mirror, it seems like my cheekbones have reduced, but I don’t see a frontal effect, and I can still see an uneven line. It really doesn’t seem like swelling, and I wonder if this is what they meant when they said the original distance at the temples can’t be reduced. I also wonder if they did it moderately because I said I didn’t want it to look too obvious, and whether once the swelling goes down more, my true wannabe line will appear. It doesn’t feel like it will, and I have all sorts of thoughts like that, so I end up looking in the mirror dozens of times a day. Before, I used to wait desperately for one month and feel excited reading reviews from people who looked dramatically different at one month, but now that doesn’t resonate with me at all, so I’ve stopped looking for reviews and just keep thinking alone. I hate this swelling so, so much. I have no confidence about when this ugly phase will disappear, or whether the surgical effect will clearly appear, and I spent a considerable amount of money on a bone-shaving surgery, so I’m really anxious about whether I’m wasting all this suffering and time... I couldn’t go for care last week, so I’m about to go get my nearly week-3 care today, and I feel really strange about it.
