While getting dental treatment, I felt like my front teeth had rotated, so I had an orthodontic consultation. I also received dental treatment at ID for over 2 years. (I cracked a molar while eating gamjatang, kept putting off going to the dentist, and ended up getting an implant.) While getting 2 implants and dental treatment, I also proceeded with orthodontics. They said partial orthodontic treatment would take 6 months, but in the end it took 11 months.
For the upper teeth, I did the braces on the inside because I was worried they would show when speaking, and for the lower teeth I did them on the outside. They said inside braces were more expensive, so I mixed them. I only straightened 6 teeth each on the upper and lower arches, but eating with the appliances on was uncomfortable. So much debris got stuck, and if I ate curry, they turned yellow.. It was 5 years ago, so my memory is hazy, but the reason I chose partial orthodontics was that full orthodontics would be too expensive and would take a long time, so I did partial orthodontics. But if no-prep laminates had existed at that time, I think I would have done laminates.
Now I have retainers bonded on (only on the upper and lower 6 teeth). Last December, the retainer caught on my tongue, so I went in, and they told me the lower teeth had rotated slightly. I did not know until then, but when I looked, they had rotated a bit.. Why would they rotate even though I have retainers bonded on?.. It does not really show much when looking, but my upper teeth are also not very even, so I am considering no-prep laminates.
The nurses and doctor at the hospital are kind, and there are always a lot of people. You definitely need to make a reservation before going. The retainer came off a little while I was picking my teeth after eating meat, so I pulled it off, you know. Then when I went to the hospital, I paid about 200,000 won and had it reattached If you go to the hospital in that state, they will reattach it, so if your retainer comes off, do not pull it off..
I remembered something, so I am adding to the post. My upper lip was slightly protrusive, but after orthodontics my philtrum became longer. My lips were originally thick, so they did not roll inward, but when I compare with old photos, my philtrum definitely became longer.. I searched and found quite a few people whose philtrum became longer after orthodontics
