I wanted the surgery to make them symmetrical at the same height, matching the line of the eye that already had a double eyelid. I was thinking about doing only one side, but during the consultation, I was told that if I was going to have surgery, it would be better to do both sides, so in the end I got double eyelid surgery on both eyes.
