I’d like to hear the opinions of people who had full removal at [Clinic A], or are planning to have it done! (I’d also love to hear consultation reviews from those who visited other clinics besides [Clinic A]. I’m curious whether the clinic explained that tying the cartilage was structurally essential or merely cosmetic.)
I recently had a consultation at [Clinic A]!
Pros - Specializes in removal - Guardians can monitor the CCTV in real time - Safety-oriented - Strong commitment to full removal (including capsule removal)
Cons - Cannot correct uneven levels (I’m scared to fill the unevenness with filler T_T) - Reviews say the aftercare and response could be better - Since many people who had removal at [Clinic A] have recently posted reviews in this community, I wonder if relatively negative reviews are appearing (most seemed to involve uneven levels or depressions) - They strongly dislike cartilage binding
I also went to a clinic called E (not one of the big three), and they said the alar cartilage must be tied no matter what—not for cosmetic purposes, but so it can return to its proper position and function. Of course, Clinic E said they use non-absorbable sutures (I heard that some of the big three use absorbable sutures).
I also think cartilage binding for cosmetic purposes is unnecessary, but other clinics say it must be secured structurally, so I’m deliberating!
The director at Clinic E said: “I heard there was recently a review in this community about someone developing a complication because [Clinic A] did not perform cartilage binding?”
-> I practically live in this community these days, but I haven’t seen that review?? If anyone knows about it, please tell me T_T
Of course, the director at Clinic E also mentioned one disadvantage of each of the other removal clinics, so they were not saying that [Clinic A] is necessarily bad!
I asked Clinic E why [Clinic A] does not perform cartilage binding, and they answered, “Who knows..?” so, well… I need everyone’s opinions.
