I generally tend to be a bit skeptical... After looking at a wide range of rhinoplasty reviews, I realized there’s a lot of person-to-person variation and hospital-to-hospital variation too.. In the end, I’m the one making the final decision, but the one actually doing the surgery is the doctor.. It’s something you trust someone with and pay a lot of money for, so if you’re not satisfied, it feels so unfair, and you can’t really blame anyone.. Even raising an issue with a big hospital has its limits.. So first of all, I preferred a hospital that was clear and straightforward, even more than just being friendly..^^
I went in this order: Banana -> Chiyu -> Wannabe I intentionally looked around only in the Sinsa area to keep travel time short, and thankfully all three hospitals were right near subway exits, so they were easy to find and convenient to move between. I first felt like they’d be fine even if I had to move around quickly after surgery or go back and forth for treatment.. All three were small clinics. I thought big hospitals would be chaotic and exhausting, so I skipped them. Maybe that’s how I ended up choosing them because I was looking for places that do a lot of nose surgery. I also liked the reviews ㅇㅇ Especially since I was worried about a bulbous nose and a dorsal hump... As someone with a sensitive aesthetic sense, I wanted someone who would be strict about everything.. so I was careful about choosing the director too.
1. Dr. Choi Won-cheol at Banana The consultation wasn’t unnecessarily long. He explained what needed explaining and the surgical methods needed, and listened to my opinion. He doesn’t seem to waver back and forth; his own views are quite firm, so if you have trouble making decisions, I recommend going here. He designs it for you, and tells you how to correct the line where the forehead starts and even the nasolabial angle. It’s not exactly a virtual surgery, but he draws it on a pad and shows you, so it’s easy to understand. When I consulted with the coordinator, they opened files of noses similar to mine They showed me a lot of before-and-after photos. That means they’ve handled a lot of different cases, and seeing results similar to mine made me feel more trust too.. It’s strange, really. Just seeing the photos made me feel that way?.. I guess that’s the power of visiting in person.. I barely waited at all, and since I went in the morning, it felt like I could talk leisurely and leave. There was zero pushiness about booking, and instead they even told me to look around more since this is my first surgery and I’d probably have lots of questions, which felt almost like being looked after by an older sister.
2. Chiyu Dr. Cheon Nam-ju I got a very strong impression that he was extremely kind. He speaks gently and has a way of making the atmosphere feel comfortable. The staff were also kind enough that I thought this kind of atmosphere would suit people who are introverted. The interior also looked like a clean white-toned cafe, maybe because it’s not very old yet (that’s just my guess). But they brought up dermis, which I hadn’t heard of before, and I was surprised. Since silicone might look too much, I was recommended a no-implant option. The coordinator again went over the doctor’s diagnosis and explained things like CCTV aftercare and the situation immediately after surgery. They told me to wear clothes that are easy to put on and take off, which felt considerate.
3. Wannabe Dr. Cha Myeong-gyu He has a calm style. Here too, they asked whether I wanted no implant surgery or silicone, so I just got a silicone estimate and left. It was a hospital that asked for my opinion a lot, so it might be good for people who have a very clear idea of what they want. It may take some time to coordinate with the doctor, but this is surgery done on your body, so that’s something you should definitely do... The line was more on the refined/glamorous side, and somehow it felt a bit more tilted toward the glamorous end. They drew it higher than the sketch Banana had drawn. The atmosphere of the hospital felt good. The staff didn’t seem tense with each other either.. From the explanation, it sounded like they personally check the recovery progress.. The coordinator seemed meticulous. Like all hospitals, they took notes diligently and waited for me to ask more questions.. anyway
Basically, I got explanations about the hospital system while consulting at each place, and I’ve only written down the parts I thought were especially important... so I hope this helps as a reference Sorry my writing isn’t very good
