First consultation among the top 3 for removal. No photo shoot or CT scan. Palpation. They said my nasal skin is hard, so it’s contracture. They took detailed notes and answered all my questions. The conclusion was that full removal is not recommended because the nose will turn up more; instead, use septal cartilage, and if it’s insufficient, harvest ear cartilage for a columellar strut. I went in thinking about removal because septal cartilage and ear cartilage weren’t used in my first surgery, but it ended up becoming revision surgery. The consultation with the director was better than with the consultant!
