This is so difficult.. I’ve been going around for consultations, and both places said my nasal tip is quite low, so I’ll probably need rib cartilage. I’m worried about inflammation or absorption with donated rib cartilage, so I was thinking that since I’m doing it anyway, I should spend a little more and use my own rib cartilage, you know?
But one place said that to prevent warping, they would definitely layer it in two layers to support the nasal tip, while the other place said they would decide after harvesting my rib cartilage during surgery and checking its characteristics. They said if it’s fairly sturdy and a bit brittle/porous, they’ll put in one layer, and if it’s on the softer side, they’ll put in two layers. Which one is more correct?
I’m really worried about warping that could happen at some unknown time, but can they really tell whether warping will happen or not by harvesting it and observing it for a little while? I’m so confused
