Hello. On 10/2, I went to have my splint and stitches removed, and they said blood had collected between my eyebrows, so they removed it with a syringe. They scheduled my next visit for a week later, but I’m posting because I’d like to ask how I should manage the hematoma in the meantime.
1. For a hematoma, should I keep doing cold compresses instead of warm compresses? 2. Is walking bad for a hematoma? (The doctor at the hospital and doctors on YouTube say different things) 3. I heard that taking swelling medication (I’m taking One Quick) or pumpkin-red bean tea is bad for a hematoma. Is that true?
It was my first surgery using autologous costal cartilage, so having a complication happen is making me so depressed and frustrated that I’m posting a few questions. I would appreciate your answers. Thank you.
