I had salivary gland Botox twice, once in January and once today. InMode once each in January, February, and March, and once today. Contour injections once each in February and March, and once today. I get Aqua Peel every time I go.
Honestly, because I get several procedures at once every time I go, I don’t think I can clearly say which procedure caused which effect. However, from what I hear around me, people seem to be half in doubt about the effects of contour injections, so I did think about not getting contour injections, but since the price is so cheap (around 10,000 won for 3 cc?), from my second visit onward I’ve just been getting them with the thought, since I’m here, I might as well, because it doesn’t cost much.
About InMode. In my case, after getting InMode for the first time, I don’t get bruises on my face, but my face swells overall, so it actually feels bigger than before. But this swelling goes down completely in less than half a day, so it’s not a big problem. As for the effects of InMode, people usually say the effects show after about 2-3 weeks, and I do definitely hear people around me say that I look like I’ve lost weight.
To get a properly dramatic effect from InMode, I think if it’s your first InMode treatment, it’s probably good to get it for 3 consecutive months. I also got it consecutively in January, February, and March, and from April, one month after the last treatment, my double chin and overall facial sagging noticeably disappeared. I work at a high school, and after the new semester started, students and teachers around me saw me as much younger than my actual age. I did think I should just take it as something they were saying to be nice and let it go in one ear and out the other, but when I saw them say things like, “Teacher xx is younger than Teacher oo, right? (In reality, I’m 4 years older)” when another colleague teacher was next to me, it didn’t seem like they were simply saying it to be nice. hahaha
Students also came up to me, heard how old I was, and went, “Whoa, no way,” so it felt good. (But from next year, I’m not going to say my age anymore. Now lol)
Since I’m writing in a stream of consciousness, this is getting messy and all over the place.
Lastly for InMode, I’ll talk about pain, then move on to salivary gland Botox.
Some people say InMode hurts less the more you get it, but in my experience, the first session was actually the least painful, the second was quite painful, the third was painful too, and the fourth session after 5 months was not painful again. My feeling is that because InMode destroys fat cells, when there are enough fat cells, maybe it hurts a bit less. So the first session was less painful, but the second and third sessions, after some fat cells had been removed, may have hurt more. And maybe the fourth session after 5 months hurt less because the fat cells had recovered to some extent. This is purely my own guess.
They usually say it’s good to get salivary gland Botox every 6 months, and I’ve also heard that domestic products cause resistance while imported ones don’t, so you should get domestic for the first 2-3 times and imported after that, but I don’t know whether that’s true or not.
Because I always got salivary gland Botox together with InMode, I don’t really know where the effects of salivary gland Botox end and where the effects of InMode begin. But if I talk about the side effects of salivary gland Botox that many people worry about, I personally didn’t feel any major side effects. If I consciously pay attention, I wonder if my saliva secretion has reduced a bit, but if I don’t think about it, I don’t feel any side effects at all. For now, the puffy look in the area from the corners of the mouth to below the ears has disappeared.
Aqua Peel is basically pore water-cleaning. After doing it, the sebum built up in the pores gets washed out, so I feel like I don’t get breakouts as easily. It could just be in my head, though. Also, for Aqua Peel, if you go to a large clinic in Seoul, it’s performed not by a doctor but by skin-care therapists. So I think you can get it at a much cheaper price. It doesn’t seem like a part that really requires medical knowledge, so I think it’s better to just get it cheaply at a large clinic in Seoul.
Oh, right. For InMode, I got it for the first three months consecutively, and then I got it in the 5th month, not the 6th month. It wasn’t because the InMode effect had completely disappeared by the 5th month; it was because I’m planning to get Ultherapy in the 6th month, so I moved it up by one month. I’m adding this in case anyone was wondering.
