Hello!! It’s already the cool autumn season in the mornings and evenings.
I came to write my 3-month review.
It feels like I just wrote my 1-month review not long ago, time really flies.
Up until the 1-month mark, whenever I touched my nose, it always felt like it wasn’t my own nose, like there was clay 붙 on it somehow,
and there was a slight feeling of discomfort.
Sometimes if it got caught while I was getting dressed, it would sting a little, and even when washing my face I had to do a cat-face wash
Up until the 1-month mark, the tip of my nose did still feel a little blunt..
They said the minor swelling would keep going down until even the 6-month mark, so I waited...
It really became the exact dream nose I used to keep shrinking, raising, and refining with photo-editing apps before I had rhinoplasty...
The finished result came out exactly like the nose shape I had in mind, so I’m so, so happy.
I had lateral osteotomy / hump removal / septal support for the nasal tip / slight crooked-nose correction,
and I was worried because they say swelling lasts longer when you have lateral osteotomy,
but after 3 months, the swelling really was all gone, and it wasn’t a doll-like nose from an old trend;
it became a straight-but-slightly-upturned line, and it really... looks so, so pretty that I’m very satisfied.
These days I seem to take selfies almost only from the side..
After 3 months, that feeling that it wasn’t my own nose almost completely disappeared too,
and since my old nose did have a bridge, when I said I wanted nose surgery, people around me used to say,
“Huh? Your nose is fine, why do it? Your nose is high already~”
But after actually doing it, they say it looks much better now.
Because of the hump and a slightly bulbous-tip look, and because my nose also looked a bit fleshy,
I guess I should say I used to keep tensing the nostrils to make my nose look smaller..?
I used to deliberately make an expression of pulling my nose downward to make it look smaller,
but because I kept taking photos like that, my already low nasal tip looked even lower,
and the hump stood out even more..
I saw so many posts about side effects saying that if you shave down a hump, it may cave in in the middle or whatever,
Of course, everyone can have side effects... or not,
but because the nose is the center of the face, from the time I was in school for over 10 years? I had always had the thought of getting nose surgery in my mind,
and just as things were the way they were, wearing a mask + working from home helped me get the surgery..
Even people around me praised me for doing it, saying it’s completely natural, so I really don’t regret it.
The only thing is that because I had the tip done with septal cartilage, I can’t do the pig-nose motion.
They say if you use ear cartilage for pig-nose movement, because ear cartilage is soft, you can do pig-nose,
but I saw somewhere someone said, “How often do you really need to do pig-nose as an adult?” and I strongly agree
I was worried because they said the nasal tip gets very firm when using septal cartilage, but it gets softer over time,
and although it can’t move around as softly as my old nose, I chose it knowing all that,
so I don’t really feel that inconvenience.
I feel like I’m only saying good things, but if I had to name a downside, it’s just that I can’t pick my nose.
It’s not so much that I can’t pick it, but rather that I can’t do it naturally like mining ore in a cave, so that’s a little disappointing.
Actually I still do pick it using my fingers here and there,
but I’m being careful because I’m worried there might be any shape change!^^
And as for choosing the hospital, I had about 8 candidates and went to consultations at 3 of them,
and the surgical methods they recommended were similar at all 3 places,
but I’ve always felt that plastic surgery is more trustworthy at a private clinic where a single chief surgeon does the procedures!!
Don’t look at only the posts in cafés too much; I chose the place I was most subjectively drawn to, and I have no regrets!
Even about a month and a half after surgery, the swelling had already gone down very quickly,
so as my own tips for reducing swelling,
these are all obvious things, but..
Until the one-week mark, eat food with absolutely no sodium for all three meals a day (as much as possible)
Since anyway you have gauze stuffed in your nose and can’t taste because of the scabs,
if you want the swelling to go down as fast as possible, eat as little sodium as possible.
I ate pumpkin porridge or beef porridge for all three meals, and I asked Bonjuk to grind it to almost the consistency of rice gruel.
I took the medicine the hospital gave me properly after each meal, all three meals a day, and drank more than 2L of water a day!!
And from the two-week mark, I made sure to go for a 30-minute walk every day,
and there’s a set of three medicines recommended by a pharmacist YouTuber on YouTube for plastic surgery.
If you go to any pharmacy near Gangnam and mention it, they sell them bundled together in one packet.
The medicines are Tripline, Beanosin, and Bruna. I took these for over a week too.
But after reading that taking them for too long might not be good, I stopped once the big swelling went down!
When I felt like, “Only the minor swelling is left~,” I bought and took Arsu, which everyone knows about..
There are tons of kinds with a lot of herbal medicine ingredients, but from my experience, the one that works best for swelling is Arsu.
I found it cheaply on the used marketplace and took it for a full month too
Also, as I wrote before, when it was one week after surgery,
the nose was really unbelievably high,
and I was like, “Huh.. this isn’t it.. what do I do, this is a Western nose.
My nose is seriously too high,” and I kept going in and out of side-effect forums..
People kept saying it would come down and not to worry, and it really was true..
There were even posts like, “It looks like it won’t come down, it’s too high, even accounting for swelling, it’s still too high,”
and I was honestly so, so anxious, but now seeing that it has settled down just beautifully, time really is the best medicine^^
Don’t be too hasty; for the nose, I really think the decision is made only after the swelling goes down!!
And for about a month after nose surgery, I had to be very careful even when washing my face,
so in my case, blackheads and sebum built up a lot,
but I didn’t think I could use harsh nose strips, especially the peel-off kind, because the adhesive is surprisingly strong..
It can really hurt when you peel it off, so I recommend dissolving nose strips, and on Coupang I recommend the RNW Two Step Clear Nose Pack!!
Great value for money But when removing sebum, please roll the cotton swab as gently as possible!!
And another great item is that I wanted overall skin care,
but they said to be a bit careful until after the one-month mark, including going to a dermatology clinic.
So what I found was a cream pack,
it’s a cream pack treatment done at affordable dermatology clinics, and the company that makes the cream pack used at the clinic
also sells it so individuals can buy it.
If you go to the S2ND website, they sell Moistreatment in the 20,000-won range, so I bought that and used it for skin care!
But this also has a slightly tingling feeling, so it could irritate the skin unnecessarily; I think it’s good to manage skin after the one-month mark^^ It does remove pores and blackheads well.
My boyfriend also really tried to stop me when I said I was going to get nose surgery,
but these days he likes me even more..
Anyway, I’m leaving this review because I’m really, really satisfied...........
