This is my second surgery here, and it seems fine this time too.
The first time, I had double-eyelid surgery and upper canthoplasty. I had monolids and wanted double eyelids, but they said upper canthoplasty was needed for an in-out crease, so I had them together.
That was three or four years ago, so I do not remember clearly, but I think the consultation fee was free then too, and they did not pressure me to pay a deposit.
This time I had medial canthoplasty and lower-eyelid fat repositioning.
Maybe because I am getting older, the area under my eyes bulged a little and made me look older. My inner eye also seemed somewhat stuffy, so even though I had upper canthoplasty, I thought medial canthoplasty was the only answer and went back to the clinic where I had my first surgery.
They had mentioned that I had epicanthal folds during my first consultation, but I decided it was not necessary then. This time the doctor also said medial canthoplasty would be good if the inner corners felt cramped, so I decided to do that together with lower-eyelid fat repositioning to tidy the area under my eyes.
After hearing the explanation, I learned that lower-eyelid fat repositioning does not take very long to recover from and can look natural.
I had surgery in September, and it has now been about a month. The swelling from both procedures seems to have gone down to some extent. Since the lacrimal lake is not severely exposed, it does not look particularly strange, and now that my eyes are more open at the inner corners, I do not feel like touching them further.
The area under my eyes has been completely tidied up, so I feel I look around my age. A friend also said it turned out well, so I suppose it did.
I am waiting because I think it will look cleaner once it settles after another month.
