Helloooooo It has been 6 months. Now I eat everything I want, and I can chew and eat fairly hard foods too. It’s so fascinating that noodles cut well with my front teeth haha
Before surgery, when people took side-profile or front-facing photos of me, my jaw came out crooked, so there were a lot of photos that made me furious. Since high school, I heard things like, “Did your jaw get hit with a left hook?” and “If someone lands a right hook, can it turn back the other way?” and I had a severe complex about it. At first, I tried to treat my malocclusion with nonsurgical orthodontic treatment. So I had a consultation, and on February 14, I received two-jaw surgery and two types of facial contouring at Y Oral Clinic.
My appearance has changed so clearly that I can’t even remember what I worried about before surgery, and I’m so happy that I no longer feel resistant to taking photos. I’m still being careful, but there’s no discomfort at all in daily life. For sensation, when I touch the lower jaw area, there is some tingling, but I don’t really touch it much, and it’s not something I need to touch often, so it’s okay haha But I can feel that it’s getting better as time passes! Now I’m exercising too, and even when I do high-intensity exercise, there doesn’t seem to be any major issue.
However,, the braces are the most uncomfortable thing right now I hope my orthodontic treatment ends soon In the early stage after surgery, it was really hard, but these days I’m living as if none of that ever happened. If I had to do the surgery again, I don’t think I could, but I don’t regret it. I’m glad I had the surgery.
Overall, I think it’s a highly satisfying surgery. For people like me who have a lot of concerns about their jaw, I don’t think you would regret having the surgery at all.
