Is there anyone who has ever been told, felt, or been diagnosed that the contour is showing through at the nasal tip? About 5 months ago, one layer of cartilage separated, so I had show-through and a foreign-body sensation. I had the cartilage trimmed and the dermis reinforced, and the foreign-body sensation disappeared, but the white show-through kept remaining. It did gradually get better, but I wondered whether the reinforcement was insufficient or the cartilage hadn’t been trimmed enough, so I got consultations here and there. Both ㅅㅅㅇ / ㅇㄱㅈㅇㅇㅂ said that something does seem to show through whitishly. ㅅㅅㅇ said that if it still shows through even after revision surgery, then basically the only method is to lower it together with the nasal bridge. ㅇㅇㅂ said that they don’t know what it is, but they would have to open it up and look first to know whether the cartilage shape is the problem or what it is. They suggested the usual methods commonly done when cartilage shows through. But the director at ㅁㅌ said, as if really frustrated, that they don’t understand why I think this is show-through, and that the contour is visible because it’s being pressed. They said things like, if I dislike even the contour being visible, then lower the nasal tip more, but I should take into account that it may look broad and have a hump-like feel. Since open-surgery scars also last a long time, I don’t want to open it up anymore, and I’m wondering if I should just live with it.
