Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

I had double-jaw contouring for a protruding jaw and facial asymmetry, and eating became easier after three months lol

It has been about three months since my combined double-jaw and facial contouring surgery! Eating is more comfortable now, and I am almost back to my old daily life. I had double-jaw and contouring surgery at [Clinic A] near Sinsa Station with Dr. Shin Hee-jin. Compared with the first month or two, I can feel that my recovery has progressed a lot. I originally had trouble eating and found brushing my teeth stressful because of crooked teeth and a protruding lower jaw. My lower jaw was rotated to one side, making my facial asymmetry noticeable, and I felt stressed because my expression did not look natural when I smiled, so I eventually decided on combined surgery. When researching hospitals, I considered reviews and safety facilities important. [Clinic A] had good evaluations and facilities I liked. Above all, it was close to my workplace, so I thought it would be convenient for follow-up visits and orthodontic treatment after surgery, and I chose it. From around month two, eating became clearly easier and the range of foods I could eat increased. With less burden from the wafer and elastics, daily life became much more comfortable. The elastics worn only while sleeping were not very inconvenient either. At first, swelling made the left jaw more swollen and it sometimes looked asymmetrical, but as time passed the residual swelling decreased and the facial line gradually settled into a more natural shape! I can open my mouth enough for about three fingers, and there is only slight pain when opening it very wide, so speaking and daily activities are hardly uncomfortable. I have also restarted light weight training, and the shaking or uneasy feeling in my jaw when jogging lightly has decreased a lot. Now at three months, I can definitely feel a change in eating. Except for very hard nuts, I am comfortable enough to eat almost any food. Since I have been eating various foods, I seem to have gained a little weight, so I can hardly tell whether what remains is swelling or fat lol. I also seem to look natural enough that people around me do not easily notice I had surgery. I started the combined surgery because of my protruding jaw and facial asymmetry, and what stands out most during these three months of recovery is gradually returning to ordinary daily activities such as eating and exercising. I look forward to becoming even more natural as the remaining swelling gradually subsides.
