The first 3 days after surgery were pretty difficult because of the nasal packing, but after it was removed, I felt much better. From day 2 after surgery, the swelling started around my eyes, then around day 4 it moved down toward my cheeks, and now there is still a little swelling left over my whole face. Still, I’ve been following the care instructions the clinic director gave me, so I think the swelling is going down quickly. When the splint was removed on day 7 and I looked in the mirror, I suddenly felt scared because my face looked so unfamiliar. But like other people’s reviews say, I’m trying to stay calm by reminding myself that about 3 months after surgery is the recovery period. It’s around day 9 at the time I’m posting this, and the swelling has gone down a bit more than in the photos. Seeing it gradually improve gives me hope!
