Before before after after after hello It has been 1 year since I had double-jaw and facial contouring surgery, so I’d like to leave a review.
First of all, I had always been dissatisfied because there were many parts of my face I didn’t like, such as a protruding mouth, gummy smile, and underbite. Since I had some time, I thought I should at least get a consultation, so I received a consultation for double-jaw and contouring surgery. I had the consultation at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and I was able to ask and resolve everything I had been curious about. Also, they explained in detail the surgical methods that suited me, which surgeries were not appropriate, and so on, and it was very nice to be able to have a detailed 1:1 consultation. I liked the consultation so much that I scheduled my surgery date right away that same day after my consultation at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Right after I had double-jaw surgery and 2 types of facial contouring surgery (square jaw & chin), when I saw my face full of swelling and bruising, I worried a lot about when I would be able to return to daily life. But I recovered by taking frequent walks and receiving laser treatment at the hospital, and before I knew it, 1 year had passed!
To describe the current state of my face, it has become so natural that I wonder if I ever had surgery, and I am living with no problems in daily life. I’m eating everything I want to eat too. For the first few months after surgery, I had no sensation around my jaw, my pronunciation was unnatural, and chewing was extremely difficult, but now all of these problems have been 100% resolved. If I had to pick one part that has not fully recovered yet, it would be that some firmness/lumpiness at the tip of my jaw still remains?
Also, I am undergoing orthodontic treatment, and the most important thing for me was that the hospital where I had surgery can check my progress and handle orthodontic treatment all at once. Going to the surgical hospital to check progress... then going to the orthodontic clinic on another day... Since not all of us live in Seoul, when you think about round-trip transportation costs and wasted time, this is such a valuable point This time as well, in May, they helped me make an appointment so I could meet the director to check my surgical progress and then receive orthodontic treatment right away, which was nice:)
Since 1 year has passed after surgery, my family and friends around me no longer remember my old face and have already gotten used to it. As for work, I moved to a new place, so since no one knows I had surgery, I receive a lot of compliments saying they envy my face shape..
Even now, 1 year later, I have no regrets about having the surgery; my only regret is that I should have done it when I was even one year younger. I think everyone has parts of their face they are dissatisfied with. If it becomes stressful, I really recommend getting a related consultation! During the consultation process, they even identify and tell you about things I had not yet mentioned.
