I agonized over it and finally went to have it removed. For my case, last June I had surgery without an implant, using only septal cartilage, and since I was worried only about function, I also had cosmetic rhinoplasty. I put down a reservation deposit, delayed it three times, then decided I would go through with it. But since I was also going to have lower eyelid surgery, I thought the nose maybe wasn’t the right thing for me, so I said let’s just do the lower eyelids. I went to the hospital, had a consultation, and planned to do only the lower eyelids, but by then they were already preparing for surgery, so it ended up being rushed along like slaughtering a cow As expected, that bad feeling wasn’t wrong.. The nose wasn’t a total disaster, but it was really uncomfortable, and right after the surgery I asked them to remove it. The feeling of fixation around the columella and the stiffness was unbearable, so I shouted for removal, but they said it was my decision and told me the removal fee. I said okay, then worried about it for two weeks and set a date. It was an early removal.. Then on the day itself? They said it was done at an event price, and that if I had it removed this contract would be void.. I’m the idiot for signing something like that. Don’t do this.. They told me to pay double the penalty.. I really somehow negotiated it down, and since it was cheaper than the removal hospital and it was the hospital that had done the surgery, I thought it would be better.. I had the consultation and went ahead with removal, but while I was coming in for treatment.. when they were doing the dressing.. the doctor said, “I left the septum in.” I said, “What?” but there was nothing I could do.. I was too tired to argue.. so I let it go. I should not have let it go there.. The feeling of nasal pinching, the lifted feeling, and even when I mentioned the hump issue, they said it was just swelling and that this is how it is originally.. Even after 6 months it was the same, and the squeezed, narrowed feeling never got better.. As you may have seen from my comments, I truly hope you do not get an early removal. After suffering twice, the money went out even more, I got trauma, and it was emotionally exhausting.. I also had many one-on-one chats and group chats with many people here, and talked a lot with those who were struggling emotionally because of removal. Among them, there were people who did well, and there were also people who were too scared to do it. For me, it was really removal on top of early removal, so my mental state really got worse. For the first 3 months I tried to accept it. Since it was an early removal, I went through the swelling like cherry tomatoes, the contraction phase, and the lifted tip, and at first I thought I might die if I had to remove it again right away, so I endured and endured. I fought with my husband too, and I wanted to kill the doctor.. I gained weight, stopped even thinking about losing it, lost motivation, and developed social avoidance.. But still, you have to live. I didn’t lose the weight though haha, and I forced myself to hold it together and lived by focusing on other things. I even moved houses, and before I knew it I was living with a “let it be” mindset. Sometimes I thought about just living like this, but since the nose shape and the discomfort were still a problem, and that was the biggest issue, I thought that after suffering this much emotionally, I shouldn’t drag it out any longer and should go in person, so I made a consultation appointment and went. I only went to two places because I have decision paralysis and because I trusted one place more.. that’s just my 기준. I chatted with people who had gone there, and also with people who had good and bad results at the hospitals I mentioned. Taking that into account, I set my own 기준 and got a consultation 8 months later. If you look at hand-sorting reviews, there are roughly characteristic things about the so-called “top three,” and I went in with expectations, but I was a little mentally shaken.. because it was another removal after an early removal. When I got the records from the doctor who had done the surgery, I recorded the conversation, asked how it had been done, looked up the English terms in the records to interpret them, and when I explained by carefully listening to where things had been left in the recording, he said he would have to open it to know.. That is true.. but if I had just come without the early removal, I think he would at least have given me a definitive answer. But it had already been removed.. Others remove silicone, ear cartilage, septal cartilage, costal cartilage, osteotomy, and so on.. but for me it was just one piece of septal cartilage.. It was frustrating. And because I had also had the hump shaved down, I felt like I had shaved it for nothing; it made the nose look broad and flat.. It even made me think about osteotomy.. But swelling really lasts a long time. Unless you shaved too much, it might be better not to do osteotomy. I was basically at the point of giving up. That period was long, but also short, and it is still ongoing now haha. When I asked whether it would be okay to do osteotomy while removing it, they discouraged me.. I thought, “Here comes another problem,” and quickly gave up. I had planned to remove it in March, but I was so anxious that I even got a fortune-telling date.. It was that bad.. I did have some fun in my 20s, so having it done in my 30s made me think comfort and safety come first.. Right after removal, when they showed me the photo, as expected, the septum was there. The internal nasal valve was left in place too. There was severe adhesion to the nasal cartilage, and the scar tissue was stuck all over like flour dough.. Early removal had a huge impact. So yes, it feels tight and painful.. Anyway, I still do not have an answer, but I really do not recommend early removal.. There may be people who had good results, but healing is that much slower. One month into the contraction phase, my nose tip was lifted and I was shocked.. now it is at the point where even if it goes up, I do not really care.. You may feel impatient, exhausted, weighed down, tightly squeezed, and psychologically anxious, but I was the one who lost money for nothing.. and I am not someone who went for re-surgery to become prettier, I just endured thinking only about removal. Suicide? I get suicidal urges because it feels so uncomfortable My husband cried after my surgery too.. he suffered more emotionally than I did.. Please wait a bit longer. After 3 months, then 6 months, check again, and at 9 or 10 months the result may be even better the later it gets. That is just my opinion though.. The point is, early removal is not the only answer I hope this lifted feeling and anxiety pass too. Let’s focus on something else!! This was just a messy ramble
