Nose Surgery Reviews

One-month review of my chaotic non-implant bulbous and hump nose surgery

First of all, even I think my face is on the small side, lol. I do not think my face itself is unattractive, but my nose is unusually large and blunt, with a slight hump. When I look at my face in separate parts, I think, “Well, it is okay~,” but then I look at my nose and, well… When I take photos and edit them, if I edit only the nose, that says it all. I doubt there are many people who have gone on as many plastic-surgery tours as I have, lol. I usually talk about visiting up to two clinics a day, but I thought, “What is the big deal?” and booked four in one day. I think I visited almost every well-known clinic. At [Clinic B], there was a particular surgeon I wanted to consult with, but that surgeon did not appear at all. And why did every place keep trying to bundle-sell procedures? I said I was getting my nose done; did I say I wanted my eyes done too? lol My eyes are fine enough. Why are you hurting my feelings and making a fuss!!! I went all the way to the entrance of [Clinic C], but after seeing a woman with large lips arguing with the front desk, I immediately ran away. Then everyone in this community told me I absolutely had to check whether the surgeon was a board-certified specialist, whether they were a solo director, and how much experience they had, so I pulled myself together and started researching again from the beginning. That is how I learned about [Clinic D]. It has one director, who is a board-certified plastic surgeon, and has extensive experience in rhinoplasty. I heard the director had worked for a long time at a famous clinic. I especially liked that they did not push unwanted add-on procedures. The director reportedly does only two things: rhinoplasty and facial contouring. I was told not to let the consultation coordinators talk me out of my decision, but I had already decided from the beginning to have non-implant surgery, regardless of silicone or anything else. I simply did not like the idea of having an implant sitting in my body, lol. They said my skin was quite thick, my bridge had a reasonable amount of height, but I had a slight hump and a round, blunt tip and nostrils. Although the surgeon is a woman, perhaps because I was a male patient, she spoke very directly and honestly about what could be done, what could not, and what would have no effect even if done, haha. She was incredibly cool. After a long consultation, I decided on surgery to remove the hump while preserving the bridge height as much as possible, narrow and raise the blunt tip using my autologous costal cartilage, and reduce the alar wings as well! At two weeks, after removing the splint, I worried that my thick skin might mean a lot of swelling, but fortunately there was not much swelling, and it was amazing that the hump was no longer visible. The surgeon said my nose would become even smaller than it was then. Honestly, I thought I would be doing well if it stayed like that, so hearing it would shrink further made me excited. One-month review: During the first one or two weeks, people around me did not ask whether I had had nose surgery, but exactly when it reached one month, everyone I met here and there started asking if I had done my nose, lol. Even I noticed my nose first when looking in the mirror before, but now it feels as if people see my overall impression first. The surgeon told me that even at one month this was not the final result and that it would look better, so I should wait!!!! I am still only one month in, so I need to watch the progress, but I will leave another review as things develop, lol.
