Sigh... I had my first nose surgery without researching properly, thinking that a Gangnam plastic surgery clinic must be good. Before a year had passed, my nasal tip collapsed and the silicone became visible. I never imagined this would happen to me, and it was incredibly stressful.
While looking into revision surgery, I absolutely did not want to return to that clinic, so I booked an appointment with the director of a clinic originally recommended by a friend. There was some waiting, but since my friend recommended it, I decided to wait and went in for a consultation.
I asked the doctor to raise my nasal tip and lower the columella. I said I wanted a dramatically slender nose, and he said that although my skin was thick, he would make it as refined and slender as possible, so I trusted him and had preoperative tests and the appointment arranged two weeks in advance.
At the final consultation on the day of surgery, I was even more nervous and worried than before, so I asked many questions. He explained everything very carefully and in detail again while showing photos, which made me feel I could trust him
Immediately after surgery, because it was under general anesthesia, I felt dizzy and thirsty and could not drink water that day, but there was no major pain. I had gone into surgery prepared for the pain because I had heard the autologous rib cartilage surgery hurt a lot, but the rib area was almost painless, like mild muscle soreness for about two days. My nose was swollen and tight before bed, but it did not really hurt.
It may be hard to call the second day the peak, but if I had to choose, that was the most painful day. The only particularly difficult part was not being able to wash. I should have listened sooner to my friend who told me to have surgery with Dr. Han Ji-hyeon—haha I’m really glad I had it done now!
