I had LASEK done at the most famous place, one that advertises a lot and has many patients.
The front desk staff are not particularly friendly, and I’m not sure whether aftercare is managed well after the consultation.
My eyes were extremely dry and it felt like my cornea was tearing, so I contacted them urgently, and they said there were no available appointment slots.
Also, none of this entire process is being communicated to the doctor in charge at all.
I clearly contacted the front desk and asked them to pass it on to the director, saying it felt like my cornea was tearing, but when I actually saw the doctor, they asked what brought me in.
They hadn’t heard any of the symptoms I had described.
Before surgery, the director reassured me, saying not to worry too much and that they could do it well, but when I talked about side effects, I strongly felt that they were trying to end the consultation quickly.
My vision hasn’t dropped or anything yet, but the side effects are severe, such as 1. eye dryness 2. light glare 3. the feeling that the cornea is about to tear, so please keep that in mind.
