First surgery Purpose was correction of a hump nose. I asked for a nose that suited my face and looked natural and pretty. Because of the characteristics of my hump nose, they said my nasal bridge was not on the low side, so there could be some contour irregularity, but they suggested doing it naturally without an implant. Since it was my first surgery, I couldn’t get a feel for it, and when I looked into the doctor’s eyes, they seemed sincere, so I just trusted them and had the surgery. Even for my first surgery, I visited several places, but most of them didn’t recommend more than 1 mm even if silicone was inserted, so I decided to have surgery without silicone, avoiding implant-related side effects. (No implant, only septal cartilage used, nasal tip elevation and hump correction) >After about 2 years, the height felt lower than I expected, and the bumpy nasal dorsum felt slightly sunken like a saddle nose, and the nasal tip felt upturned, so I went back for a consultation and decided on an AS revision surgery. (They said they would only charge the material cost, 300,000 won.)
Second surgery (2 years after the first surgery) They suggested filling only the depressed area on the upper nasal dorsum with donated dermis, but I disliked the upturned feeling of the nasal tip, and it currently looked too natural, so since they were opening it anyway, I thought it would be better to add a bit more height. Out of greed, I brought two photos of Lee Soo-hyuk and asked for it to be higher, more three-dimensional, and more dramatic... (Thinking about it now, I regret it so much.) In the end, according to my greed, they inserted 3 mm silicone, additionally harvested ear cartilage, extended the upturned nasal tip, and lowered the tip.
I really like that the upturned nasal tip came down straight and my nostrils don’t show from the front, but it’s too high and has an Avatar/chalk-like feel... It’s only week 2, so it might be swelling, but I hate the foreign-body sensation from the silicone between my brows, my eyes look closer together, and my facial impression has changed to look harsh. I realized that a dramatic nose doesn’t suit my face. Next week, at the week-3 results consultation, I’m going to ask if it’s possible to remove the silicone and go back to the first version, using donated dermis only on the nasal dorsum... It really seems like they made only my nose similar to Lee Soo-hyuk’s nose. Seeing how they created exactly the look I asked for, they truly are a skilled doctor.
I’ll have the consultation and then decide whether to have the third surgery to remove the silicone here or somewhere else, but since this is the person who has opened my nose twice, I’m thinking maybe it’s better to receive it again from the person who did it before... They’ve already opened my nose twice and probably know it better than anyone...
If there are seniors who were in a similar situation and overcame it, please give me advice It’s too high, so I think I need to remove the silicone, but since it’s a one-doctor clinic, I don’t know whether it would be better to receive it again from that doctor, go somewhere else, or wait... Has anyone had AS multiple times at the same hospital and gotten a good result...?
