My eyes tend to come undone easily, and after using double eyelid tape for a long time to keep them fixed, I felt like my eyelids were losing strength now. So even though it was my first surgery, I was determined to do incision no matter what. I’d felt this even when using double eyelid tape, but the inner corners of my eyes get swallowed by the eyelids, so the front part of the line never shows. I went to the consultation only vaguely thinking that maybe I’d need ptosis correction if I wanted an in-out line visible from the inner corner.
1. ㅇㄹㅇ The order was photos - consultation with the manager - consultation with the director - consultation with the manager. There was a 10–15 minute wait each time, and the consultation itself was within 5–10 minutes. I think it took over 1 hour 30 minutes total.
As soon as the manager came in, she recommended another director with more experience in the eye line I wanted. Since I hadn’t looked into any other director at all, I was very flustered. It wasn’t forced, so I decided to stay with the director I had originally chosen... The manager consultation was just ordinary. It felt like she only covered the basics + looked busy. I didn’t feel that she was especially warm at all.
The director consultation that followed was quite satisfying. He said my eyes needed incision, so I had chosen incision well; ptosis correction was not needed; and with just upper canthoplasty, the line I wanted would be easy. This was the second time I was flustered. Since the space between my eyes is slightly narrow, I had thought I would absolutely never! do any canthoplasty related to the front, but then an upper canthoplasty I hadn’t even expected... I told him what I was worried about, and he reassured me that the angle does not open toward the front. He created the lines several times, both with and without upper canthoplasty, and even to my eye, without upper canthoplasty the starting line of the double eyelid looked like it would inevitably be covered, like when I use double eyelid tape.
After accepting that and waiting, I consulted with the manager again. Even though it was my first surgery, the price was high, which caused a third round of pupil-shaking. She was firm in both expression and tone, saying that even with the event applied, this was about the price. I had seen so many reviews saying you can’t get out without putting down a deposit, so I put one down and quickly left.
Overall, the consultation itself felt like it only went up to the basics, and the place felt busy. (But the director quickly, concisely, and clearly pointed out the key points even in a short time, so that part was good. I’m impatient too lol...) It was a place that made me feel, if there’s a better clinic, do I really have to do it here...? Something like that.
2. ㅍㄹㅇㅂ The order was manager - director - manager consultation. (No photos were taken.) There was also waiting time between each step, but it was about 5 minutes, not long. The consultation was also around 10–15 minutes, appropriate. I think it took a little over 1 hour total.
During the manager consultation, she first asked about my current eye condition. Because of that, she first caught the parts causing me discomfort, and I liked that she explained not only the cosmetic purpose but also the functional aspects that would improve. When she heard my concern about the eyes looking closer together due to upper canthoplasty, she recommended that I make sure to discuss it with the director. She said depending on need, he could either exclude upper canthoplasty entirely or adjust the angle. Overall, through the manager consultation, I felt like the questions I’d need for the director consultation were well organized. She didn’t show any sign of being busy and calmly continued the consultation, and she was genuinely kind and gentle
The director consultation that followed was also good. He also recommended incision + upper canthoplasty. He calmly and gently created the line I wanted several times. It seemed lower than the line I usually make with double eyelid tape, so I got a little more ambitious about the height and appealed to the director, and he explained in detail the actual difference between the height made with tape and the height created by surgery, and how unnatural it could become. He said he could do it as high as I wanted, but he had seen many people become upset because they ended up with sausage eyes, so he did not recommend it. That helped a lot. We compromised on a height that was not too low but still natural haha. About my concern with upper canthoplasty, he personally measured the distance between my eyes with a ruler and said that although it doesn’t actually open forward, it could subtly give that impression, so he would adjust the angle well. When I added another request (?) that I wanted the line to look more open and extend longer toward the outer side, he created the line again and said it seemed fully possible like this. At the end, he asked if I had any more questions, but I had received such detailed and clear answers that I said yes! without hesitation and sent him off lol.
The manager came in, explained the cost, surgery, and aftercare. I asked for the earliest available date, put down the deposit, and even set the surgery date right away!
- Common points Both places use sleep anesthesia followed by local anesthesia / 1 year AS / swelling care / the cost was discounted from the regular price through events such as reviews (around mid-2 million won) / no overtreatment / director consultations were clean and good.
Even after doing so much online research, I couldn’t get a feel for it, but as soon as I went in person, a place that felt like “this is it!” appeared, so I felt so relieved! lol I also got a lot of help from genuine reviews, so I wrote this as detailed as possible in hopes that it helps even a little.
