Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews

I thought jaw surgery was too late for a man in his 30s, but daily life changed from the one-month mark lol

Because of my protruding jaw, which I had worried about since high school, I eventually underwent double-jaw surgery in my 30s haha. It has now been one month since my surgery with [Clinic A] by [Doctor A], and I have returned to daily life better than expected. This is a vivid one-month recovery review from a patient who is looking forward to seeing further changes!! First, my protruding jaw began to stand out when I was in high school, and I kept considering double-jaw surgery. In particular, I was self-conscious about my profile whenever I looked in the mirror or took photos, and my complex about my lower face grew over time. I also wanted surgery in my 20s, but I kept postponing it because I could not afford it. Even after starting my career, other things took priority, and several years passed before I knew it. Then, in my 30s, I became somewhat more financially comfortable and decided to undergo the double-jaw surgery I had contemplated for so long, thinking that if I did not do it now, I would postpone it again. I am currently one month after double-jaw surgery, and since this week I have started eating soft bread, rice, and noodles. Perhaps because these were foods I had not eaten for nearly a month, even foods I normally ate without a second thought tasted especially delicious lol. The ramen I ate for the first time in a while was truly unforgettable. My mouth still does not open very wide, so I had to break the noodles into short pieces and eat slowly, but I was still happy simply to see the number of foods I could eat gradually increase haha. There is still slightly more swelling on the left than on the right. Since I had facial asymmetry before surgery and the left jawbone was larger, I assume there may have been some difference between the two sides during surgery as well. However, it is still very early after surgery, so I plan to watch this patiently for a little longer~ Still, compared with the beginning, the swelling in my face and mouth has gone down a lot, and the uncomfortable parts are gradually improving! Most importantly, I have already gone to work for two consecutive weeks, so I feel like I am returning to my normal daily life haha. It has only been one month of recovery after double-jaw surgery, so I still have some swelling and am gradually getting used to opening my mouth. But I can feel daily life becoming more comfortable as time passes, which makes me very happy!! I hope the swelling continues to subside and the facial lines on both sides settle naturally! :)
