I feel like the swelling has gone down more, so I’m posting another review~! Because of my low and blunt nose, I wanted surgery, so I kept pestering my mom and got rhinoplasty as soon as the CSAT was over lol
- My nose didn’t hurt, and if anything, I’d say the uncomfortable parts were the cotton packing and the autologous costal cartilage area haha.. The operated rib area doesn’t hurt at all! That would honestly be a lie; right after surgery and for about a day or two, it was enough that I needed to rest at home? It bothered me too, and the stitched area needed to adhere well! I thought I’d be living like a scaredy-cat, but on day 3 I just went to school lol (back when I was a high school senior..)
- For follow-up, they check you at one week, and after about a month and a half they contact you again to come to the clinic?? So I saw the director, and since then I haven’t been back to the clinic yet. Maybe they’ll contact me again around 6 months.. They said I needed to pay attention to the autologous costal cartilage area and get dressings, but once it started healing, I felt like I could apply scar ointment at home and manage it on my own, so I think I spaced out my clinic visits a bit haha.. (once or twice?)
It’s been 3 months? since surgery now, and so far there hasn’t been anything like a step-off forming or the nasal tip looking like it has dropped. I think it’s probably because I used autologous costal cartilage, taking into account that there would be a scar haha And they say that if you really take good care of the scar and apply ointment consistently, it fades a lot~
- The nasal tip and columella line look okay, and the blunt feeling has gone away, but they said I need to watch it for more than 6 months, so I’m going to wait for all the swelling to go down without worrying too much!
