Before before after after Please understand that I’m writing this short review in clipped casual style. After researching for a long time, I’m leaving a review. I thought about nose surgery for a long, long time, then had surgery at the clinic, and now it has been a little under 2 months. I think almost all the swelling has gone down, and the area where I had alar reduction has healed, so I’m leaving an honest review.
When I researched online and visited hospitals for consultations, 1. Not too much of a “plastic surgery look”; a hospital that makes it as natural as possible 2. A hospital that operates in a way so people won’t notice I had nose surgery 3. A hospital that is good at correcting a bulbous nose After going around for consultations with these criteria and looking through reviews, I decided on the clinic.
I looked at apps and reviews on cafes and a community before going, so I specifically requested the vice director with the most reviews for my consultation. The consultation really was extremely fast-paced, but they still reflected all my questions the way I wanted and explained the surgical method, so it wasn’t a big problem.
Consultation details Only tape would be applied, and a nasal splint was not needed. They said doing only the nasal tip would be fine. They said men tend to have more severe spreading of the nasal cartilage, so just tying the cartilage can be more effective. But they said that if only the cartilage is tied, the side profile barely changes, so because I wanted the nasal tip raised as much as possible, I added dermis.
To prevent the nostril wings from spreading, it would be good to do a non-incisional procedure as well (I said I wouldn’t do it). If I wanted the scar not to show, it had to be done only internally. I worried a lot because they said alar reduction still leaves scars, but I was concerned that if I didn’t do the alar reduction, the overall look might come out pinched, so I added alar reduction too.
Whether seen up close or from far away, the nostril wings are reduced. There is honestly nothing else to write other than this. I definitely recommend finding a hospital that does not over-excise. It can change your impression a lot, and the nose can look long. My nostril wings were not even extremely large, but I regret it. If you really do it, you should do it internally with the smallest incision possible.
Now that recovery is definitely over, the side profile came out naturally, so I’m satisfied with the result, almost as much as with a typical nose surgery. The scar is still noticeable now, but no one is going to look inside my nostrils, so if I manage it as carefully as possible, they say it will fade, so I’m looking forward to that. Since they clearly listened to what I wanted, I’m satisfied with the result. For men, if the nose is made too sharp and high, it can look too “plastic,” which I don’t really like. So if you want a more natural nose surgery, I recommend nasal tip + alar reduction.
